The Right to Vote - Bzerkap - 07-03-2018
I don't feel good about doing this as I don't like calling people out in general, but it's happened two years in a row now and impacts the way people perceive our league.
Every offseason the teams and HO vote on awards and pro bowl rosters (pro bowl voting is only about two seasons old). Last year the awards presentation was a bit of a downer when people realized that only 9 people had voted total for NSFL. I don't have access to the DSFL but I hope it was better.
So I tagged people in the GM chat a few times and some others did as well to get more votes this season. It's really a 15 minute exercise or a 2 minute one if you copy someone else. However, even this season there were a large proportion of people that couldn't take the time to vote. It makes me sad and mad that there is such a lack of commitment to something so simple, and something that is supposed to honor and prop up the members of the league after more than a month of in-season work.

For HO I can see it as an oversight but for teams to not vote I think is kinda ridiculous... like your own players are vying for those awards/pro bowl spots, ya know? Even if you don’t go all homer there there were some SJS and COL players deserving of pro bowl nods and it’s interesting to me that teams don’t want to take the time to be sure their own players are rewarded.
Idk maybe I’m being dramatic lol I like to reward my players and see them honored so it’s just weird to me
