I could talk about the easy picks. We all know Garden, Westfield, Boss, Winchester, DiMirio, and Delacour are all basically locks for the hall of fame, so it would be no fun to talk about them at all. Yeah, I could list off stats and of course people could agree with them, but nah, I’m going to talk about Tyler Oles. Oh but talking about your old player that’s a copout, no it isn’t, it isn’t a copout at all you know why? First let’s look at his CB years. First two seasons he combined for 13 interceptions, he won a defensive rookie of the year award, Oles was a top 3 CB in his rookie season and sophomore season. The next two seasons were pretty underwhelming though, Oles fell off and stopped getting interceptions at a high rate. We all know what happens next, Oles switches to QB. This move was hated by a good amount of people, including a certain team that shall not be named. Oles was a pariah, people thought that the only way a team should get a good QB is to have to draft one and hope they stick with the league, and well that’s not how it should happen, especially considering the OL switch saw multiple OL switch to QBs. They didn’t get nearly as much attention despite making the same switch that Oles had made, and I don’t know why. Enough talking about people being mad, Oles switching to QB had 1 goal in mind. I wasn’t trying for Hall of Fame at that point, I was all in for the championship, I promised to get Liberty a ring. Oles was a top 3 QB every season he was a QB, and the goal was reached that had been set, and it was done in spectacular fashion. Home field advantage is too strong they said, even I said that at times, but the team pushed through and won the Ultimus, beating the Wraiths, and the Otters, to bring the Ultimus to the Liberty and the NSFC. Oles might not have the lengthy stats you get for playing a long time, but Oles was undeniably great for all but 2 seasons and made such a huge impact with his switch to QB that the team went from mediocre to Ultimus Champion on the back of high level QB play. Ian Bavitz deserves a spot in the NSFL Hall of Fame. The linebacker turned safety was an absolute rock for the Orange County Otters for his entire career of eight seasons. His tireless work as an integral piece of OCO's three-time champion defense surely earns him a spot next season, when he becomes eligible to be voted in.

Bavitz is a huge reason why Orange County has never missed the playoffs in league history, and enjoyed 4 straight trips to the Ultimus.

Bavitz life-long career statline includes 732 total tackles and 70 sacks. He led the league in S7 with 8 interceptions, while on his way to Defensive Player of the Year honors. He was also voted into 6 Pro-bowls over his 8-year career, many in the star-laden linebacker position group.

His later career position switch to Safety could hurt his chances at making it, but his stellar performances in each make him more than deserving for a HoF nod. Despite playing on a field with defensive greats like Gregor Clegane, George Wright Jr., and Angus Winchester, as well as multiple pro-bowl trip players like Julian O'Sullivan and Dominic Verns, Bavitz was able to carve out a slice of the action and cement himself among career leaders in several defensive statistics.

Think of the best player in NSFL history. If you're not thinking of the same player that I am I would be shocked. Mike Boss is a surefire, no doubt, unanimous, first ballot hall of fame level player. Before going into the career records lets start pretty basic. The dude was the quarterback for a team that made has made the playoffs in all 8 years of his career. He started at QB for three straight Ultimus Champs. He is a multiple time MVP and QBoTY award winner. He has the three seasons with the most passing yards ever. Three of the top four seasons in passer rating. Three of the top ten in touchdowns. But then we get to career records and he shines even more. Number 1 in career Passing Attempts, Completions, Completion Percentage, Yardage, and Touchdowns Mike Boss unassailable. The one category he doesn't lead is passer rating (Avon Blocksdale leads in that) but that doesn't make him not a hall of famer. In fact you have to think that several of the QBs on this list will make it. Avon certainly has a case, as do Mat Akselsen, King Bronko and Tyler Oles. But before any of them make it or will be considered, Mike Boss is the standard. When you think of NSFL QBs you think of the MVP. You think of the Champ. You think of the Boss. 234
