Deadline: Sunday, July 15th, 11:59 PST (S9) - Weekend PT 1 - Training - Oles - 07-13-2018 Written: Must Include 150 Words. Write about exercises your player does as part of training for the NSFL/DSFL Season. This could be any sort of exercise, anything from normal stuff to wacky training that seems like it would be a lose weight quick scheme on an infomercial. Kazimir Oles does a lot of different training to stay in peak physical condition, especially considering he is entering the league at a much older age than other players do. Besides working out with family, including his brother, former NSFL and current PBE player Tyler Oles, Kazimir likes to do a lot of different things to stay healthy and in shape. One of the many things that he does is blindfolded football catching. His brother helps him with this, he calls out where he throws the ball, and while blindfolded Kazimir has to catch it, a simple task that allows him to get used tracking and catching the ball while vision is impaired for a variety of reasons. Other than that Kazimir doesn’t do anything really out of the ordinary, just normal training methods that any trainer would be willing to let you in on if you were trying to learn how to play the sport at a high level. (160 words) (S9) - Weekend PT 1 - Training - HalfEatenOnionBagel - 07-13-2018 As a good friend of Micah Hendrix, Achilles Hondo decided to workout with the two time Ultimus champ during this offseason hoping to gain some insight from a veteran player. As a player that has play on both the offensive side of the ball as a lineman as well as the defensive side of the ball as a linebacker, Hendrix has a lot of insight into the game as well as a lot of experience training in different skill areas. One of the main things that Hondo put tie into was improving his strength. Of course this meant eating a lot of protein, hitting the gym and just general strength workouts to build up that strength base to an NSFL level. Of course, Hendrix didn’t get to be the player that he was by just doing the usual stuff; once Hondo seemed to have a good hold on things he decided to kick it up a notch. His grandfather owned a cattle ranch in Texas that he took Hondo to in order to, well of course, wrestle with bulls. “Don’t worry, the horns aren’t ground down so that they’re not sharp”, was all the advice he gave before throwing Hondo into the pen with an angry bull. Hey, if you can stop a raging bull, you can certainly stop a raging linebacker. It was at that point Hondo finally realized, if you want to be a star in the NSFL, you also have to be willing to be a little bit insane. (S9) - Weekend PT 1 - Training - enigmatic - 07-13-2018 This is part of an article by Boris Borison of the San Diego Herald: Living in Mexico is no joke. I mean, there's a reason why our glorious Leader wants to build a wall to protect us from these invaders. I hear it's not a coincidence the Luchadores won the most recent Ultimini Cup. They train pretty much all day, every day. When it's not in the relative safety of their home stadium (I was also told there was a landing strip for other teams' planes so they wouldn't have to walk around in... Mexico), they have to live in the harsh Tijuanian environment. Just going to the grocery store is an achievement in itself: from dodging bullets shot by rival cartel members, to avoiding drug dealers and simply making sure the meal you bought isn't going to kill you, the Luchadores players lose those calories like nobody's business. I believe that this gives them an unfair advantage and therefore the team should be moved to the US of A. Bring our boys back home... and the couple of immigrants they have with them, too. I mean, if they're good at America's sport, they are better than the rest, I guess. Running backs are getting better than ever and he's gotta be able to catch them and receivers. Workouts this offseason have included shuttles, ladders, three-cones, 100-meter sprints, wind-resistance sprints, sand sprints and pursuit drills, all of which build speed and have helped with stamina on the field as well. In addition, he's been working on his legs for that explosive burst and base to bring down a ball carrier with the greatest exercise known to man - squats. As of late, he's been two-plating it. Backs and receivers better watch out because he may be susceptible to unleashing his inner WWE wrestler, picking you up and using you as a weight before you get dropped. Clutch that ball tight, because some of that arm work in the gym - barbells, dumbbells, pull-ups and other body-weight exercises have him ready to put the pressure on and knock some more fumbles loose. (188) (S9) - Weekend PT 1 - Training - Preza - 07-13-2018 Emilia Rudd has always been the type of player to spend more than enough time in the gym hitting weights, and that has transferred over now into the DSFL where she has spent her off-season increasing her strength and doing wind sprint to up her speed and endurance. Rudd has made note that she wants to be one of the fastest players on the field despite being a tight end and is already putting in the work to get there. Her aggressive receiving play style will allow her to fit nicely into the San Antonio Marshals offense that is now being led by rookie quarterback Zenyou Wozy. Along with weight lifting and wind sprinting, Rudd is doing basic cardio exercises to increase her endurance which is a big area of need for her as has been pointed out by many NSFL scouts to this day. If she can bring that up to par with her speed, she will be an offensive monster. (S9) - Weekend PT 1 - Training - YoungTB - 07-13-2018 Marquise Brown has been grinding day in and day out, in Fortnite that is. He's determined to get the new season 5 skins and has been destroying controller after controller in hopes of getting them. Murdering default skins has become a hobby for him, and doing these stupid challenges that Epic puts out every week has been challenging, but all work is easy work for him. No one will stand in his way of getting the new season 5 skins in Fortnite, not even the daily demands of the rushing TD record holder of the DSFL, never mind a regular DSFL player. His squad of 3 other players joins him on the grind to get all of the season 5 skins and they too are determined just as he is. Victory royale after victory royale, they won't stop at anything to dominate Fortnite just as Marquise Brown has dominated the DSFL. [151 words] (S9) - Weekend PT 1 - Training - dub - 07-13-2018 Crindy learned his gym and weight habits during the 80s, so naturally his bodyweight-focused exercise routine might be considered by some modern athletes ... dated. Morning workout routine: 50 side straddle-hops 100 Reaganomic-ups 100 Hunt for Red Planktobers 50 minutes of Jazzercise 20 miles of NordicTrack 20 minutes of 100rpm on a Thighmaster Afternoon workout routine: 50 sets of Running Manuel Noriegas 75 Operation Ill Wind Sprints 50 Abscam crunches 50 Earl J Betz Flexes 5 Keating Five crunches 10 sets of Anne Gorsuch Superfund Power Cleanups 20 Talkin' Out The Side Of Your Neck Presses It's hard to argue with the results of his Cold War-era calisthenics - Crindy's strength has increased from 71 to 83 during the offseason and he's packing on muscle fast approaching his frame's maximum (85). While you're busy googling all the sick 80s references in this post, Crindy has been packing on mass, and while you're diving down rabbitholes of 1980s pop culture and wikipedia articles, Crindy has emerged with a new QB and new archetype limits turning him into a touchdown machine, with 3 TD's through the first two preseason games of NSFL S9.
