*Rating Every Defensive Player - Toasty - 07-17-2018 This is something I plan on pumping out for both the DSFL and the NSFL. I will write about the top 10 for the season and upload the file so you can see all of the players scores. I am using a modified SPARQ, if you want to know the formula just PM me. So with out further a due I will get started. For those of you who do not know what SPARQ is. SPARQ is an acronym for Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction and Quickness. The SPARQ Rating is a scoring system designed to measure sport-specific athleticism. In my case I used the production points part of it. But I noticed that some keys parts of a defense was missing so I use the scale that was there and create a modified SPARQ that I am going to call ASPARQ, for Awareness, Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, Quickness. How it is grade is in the spreadsheet under Scoring Table. Why did I score choose to score it like that you may ask. First off interceptions can be hard to come by because it takes all but one of the skills to get an interception and sometimes it takes all. To get a safety it takes all but 2 of the skills to get one, so it'll receive an 8 To get a forced fumble you need 4 of those skills so it will get itself a 6. Same with a sack. A tackle is not hard to come by so it'll get a one. The rest take 2-4 skills so they range anywhere from 3-5. 1: Marc Spector - CB - Otters Tackles: 5 Fumble Recoveries: 1 Interceptions: 3 Passes Defended: 4 Defensive Touchdown: 1 ASPARQ rating of: 52 SPARQ rating of: 44 2: Benson Bayley - CB - SecondLine Tackles: 3 Interceptions: 2 Passes Defended: 5 ASPARQ rating of: 36 SPARQ rating of: 36 3: Perry Tucker - LB - Liberty Tackles: 11 Sacks: 1 Interceptions: 1 Passes Defended: 1 ASPARQ rating of: 29 SPARQ rating of: 29 4: John Canton - CB - SaberCats Tackles: 6 Interceptions: 1 Passes Defended: 4 ASPARQ rating of: 27 SPARQ rating of: 27 5: Antoine Delacour - CB - Hawks Tackles: 2 Interceptions: 1 Passes Defended: 3 Defensive Touchdowns: 1 ASPARQ rating of: 25 SPARQ rating of: 20 6: Brian Mills - LB - SecondLine Tackles: 6 Interceptions: 1 Passes Defended 3 ASPARQ rating of: 24 SPARQ rating of: 24 7: Angus Winchester - LB - Otters Tackles: 11 Sacks: 2 ASPARQ rating of: 23 SPARQ rating of: 23 8: Blackford Oakes - S - SecondLine Tackles: 4 Sacks: 1 Interceptions: 1 Passes Defended: 1 ASPARQ rating of: 22 SPARQ rating of: 22 9: Ben Horne - LB - SaberCats Tackles: 5 Tackles For Loss: 1 Interceptions: 1 Passes Defended: 1 ASPARQ rating of: 20 SPARQ rating of: 20 10: Vikian Marmeladov - S - Hawks Tackles: 7 Forced Fumbles: 1 Sacks: 1 ASPARQ rating of: 19 SPARQ rating of: 19 The Spreadsheet *Rating Every Defensive Player - iseedoug - 07-17-2018 Thanks for the shout out! What a performance *Rating Every Defensive Player - RedCydranth - 07-18-2018 This doesn't take into account my almost TD catch for 29 yrds, does it? Yeah, I was so on fire they put m in the offense and I almost came down with an offensive score. I'm sick like that. *Rating Every Defensive Player - Toasty - 07-18-2018 (07-18-2018, 12:02 AM)RedCydranth Wrote:This doesn't take into account my almost TD catch for 29 yrds, does it? nope just defensive plays from defensive players (removed offensive fumble recoveries) |
