First, I just want to post more on the site because I love my new avi. It gives everything I say about 375% more sass. That means that whatever is about to come is just me spewing shit because I feel like it and am kind of tired rn. Although it doesn't make it any less true.
So I also wanted to say that after the Awards debacles of the past two seasons, I was told that I could "submit an application to become the new head of awards". Basically, @ADwyer87 said that I was never truly "official" as the Awards Host, so that apparently gave him credence to not give me the courtesy of telling me that I was fired as Awards Host, since I was never "hired" in the first place. I'm a contractor, I guess. Anyway, we solved this part out together and I gave him an "application", which was really informal because a lot of the stuff that the HO would need to know, they already knew. I've done it for 2/3rds of this league's span, the only thing this was adding onto me was collecting votes and having a clearer idea of when I can run the show.
So now we're coming up on the playoffs, which marks that we're coming close to the end of the season. Have I heard a response back? No. Is the Awards position even filled? Who the hell knows anymore? Apparently @keanex was supposed to be the new guy, but he didn't even last more than a season. Not blaming him, he's a good guy, he had stuff going on irl. Basically, I'm tossing blame back over to @White Cornerback, who is basically the main person who has created so many inconsistencies in the process, forcing himself as a middle man on multiple occasions causing miscommunication between whoever the hell the awards committee guy was during those times leading up to the past two Awards Shows where either I had a minor meltdown.
Here's the deal: I was offered an opportunity to help this league in a way that I think I'm pretty okay at. Better than average, I guess. I'm not amazing, but I keep something that's fairly boring mildly entertaining (to a point). I was a shit GM, I was unhappy as a grader and I don't even want to get into how horribly inept I'd be in HO. But this job is basically made for me (well, except for the HR position that I created for myself that no one wants to buy into). Once a season, collect votes, collect stats, spend an afternoon formatting it together, and delivering it promptly the next day or something like that. I notice that even though the entire Awards Committee is vacant, there still hasn't been an application thread opened for it yet. If HO has so much on it's plate and there is already a position available that would consolidate some of that work, then why not hire someone?
Or maybe they've just got a problem with me. I know that Dermot's gonna bring up the Solar Bears' Wiki page, which, yes I still haven't done yet, but that requires actual work and storytelling. This shit is just collecting names, numbers, and then splicing in jokes. So do me the decency of giving me a damn answer.

your answer: I brought it up to HO, responses were pretty exclusively negative. After last awards show some HO thought maybe you could be trusted as an assistant and we could see after that
Personally with the last awards show you did on your own, plus the fact that your application was "I know applications, they're just a way to give information. You know who I am and what I want.", certainly did not endear me to you for this position.
also, about the application thread, its literally the oldest job application we have in the subforum, so thats just plain false.

Usually you open up a new application thread when you're actively searching for a replacement. And my "application" that I gave you sounded that dick-ish because I wasn't exactly given a template on which to work with. You just said "send an application". WHAT IS AN APPLICATION? You already have my username and know all about my experience and since you didn't give e any other questions, it could be left at that.

and yeah, you weren't given a template. A template isnt needed. The point is so that you can tell us why you are a good fit for the job. What skills do you have that are relevant to the post. All of that stuff. Organize all of that so i can in turn pass it on to HO. You dont HAVE to say any of that stuff, but it certainly helps, or else all that is left to judge upon is past experience. I know theres been more than one instance where there was a person who applied for a job that i thought wasn't a good fit, then they gave me/us a very good application and made me change my mind on them
