Despite the disappointment of a 43 - 31 loss to the New Orleans Second Line, the Week 4 matchup was a special one for Colorado Yeti wide receiver Howard Miller. The superstar receiver went into the game with 298 career receptions, just 1 behind Kendrick Hendrix. With a 9 catch, 95 yards and 1 touchdown performance, Miller moved into second place all-time for career receptions by a Yeti player with 307, leapfrogging Hendrix.
Miller already holds the Yeti career receiving records for yards (4970), YPC (16.2), and touchdowns (27). He is behind only Dwayne Aaron in the race for career receptions leader, with his teammate currently sitting at 328. However, with Aaron announcing in the offseason that Season 11 would be the last of his career, it seems inevitable that Miller will claim that honour as well at some point in the 12th season of the NSFL.
Once that is achieved, only one receiving record will remain for Miller to claim from another Yeti: the longest reception. Miller's career-long catch currently stands at 67 yards, second to Fox North who holds the record of 80 yards. Miller hopes to eclipse that record at some point in the near future as well.
For a player only partway through his fifth season in the league, it is astonishing what Miller has achieved relative to the Yeti players that have come before him. Given that his career is expected to well exceed a decade provided he faces no injury troubles, he may set franchise records that are never bested.
The only non-quarterback offensive players Miller is yet to overcome in terms of production is former running back Boss Tweed who played 6 seasons with the Yeti. Though, in time, even his records are set to crumble.
