[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Ken Bishop of SJ Sports with another exclusive with Dan Miller
[/div]
"Hello San Jose, I'm Ken Bishop reporting to you live from San Jose this Friday morning and I'm here with the San Jose Sabercat Defensive Tackle, Dan Miller"
"Hey Ken, Good to be back."
"Alright lets jump right back in to it. I heard some pretty big news today, you were offered a contract to remain an additional 3 years in San Jose. On top of that, I heard it was for a very low pay rate. Care to explain what's going on?"
"Yeah absolutely. I accepted a 3 year contract extension for a million each year. I love playing for the sabercats, and it's what I want to do. The amount of money I'm making is probably low by most peoples NSFL standards but there are a few things that you have to understand. First off, I don't need the money. Luckily for me, my tech brother decided to get in to bit coin mining before it took off, so we ended up making quite a pretty penny from that."
"How much money did you make from that if you don't mind me asking?"
"Well, we've sold off some of the digital currency when we needed some money, but we definitely have multiple thousands of coins left. We are lucky enough to live quite comfortably and money isn't really a concern."
"Wow, that's pretty impressive. So you really are just in it for the love of the game?"
"Yep, that's what makes me so different from some of the other players. I understand that a salary cap exists and I want my team to be the best. If I act selfishly and try and holdout, it would really hurt the team and it wouldn't really benefit my circumstances to get paid more. I didn't see a point in it and told the coaches, you can keep me for cheap but lets get this defense firing on all cylinders and lets win."
"Your team was last in the division and currently fairing decently in pre-season. I find it interesting that you signed such a long term contract if you wanted to compete at the highest level with a team that isn't performing at the top."
"Like I said, I really enjoy being here. The management has stepped up and I can see where this team is heading and I want to not only be a part of it, but a cornerstone. I also really like the set up we have with our core members and I think our defense can really do something special. I'm not sure if he wants this public, but I'm really happy to say that John Canton also signed a contract extension for the duration so I know that our defense has a strong core for years to come."
"Well this is pretty interesting and I'm sure the Sabercat fans will love you and John all the more for your decisions. Anyways, looks like you have to go get ready to play a game tonight. How do you think that will go?"
"Honestly, we are going to dominate. We've already played the Liberty once already, and nothing against them but their offensive line really needs to step up. I had multiple sacks the last pre-season game and I don't want to hurt their quarterback, but they are letting him take so much punishment. I wish them all the best tonight"
"Well, That looks like all the time we have today, Good luck tonight in the final pre-season game Dan."
"Thanks again for having me, and shout out to all the fans that stuck with us last season."
