Hey everyone! Welcome back to dude_man’s reaction to the S27 DSFL Draft (Part 2)! It’s been a few weeks since I posted Part 1 awhile back, and I figured I should probably finish it before the midway point of the season is over. If you want to see part 1, you can click here. Without further ado, let’s get started.
S – Spencer Fields
Spencer was a great pick for the value of the player and the person. He was very active in the Royals Discord, and they traded up to get him. Royals should love this prospect for them. Grade: B+
DE – Gyles Marrett
FML is a really good dude, and Tijuana loves him, and so far has been a great pickup for them. No regrets on their end on drafting Gyles. Grade: A+
RB – Tom Adamo
Tom is actually a FB, so them having the only true FB of the draft is pretty cool in it’s own right, and plus his name and render are from NotTheExpert’s NCAA 14 series on YouTube, which is even better. Minnesota scored on this pick. Grade: A-
LB – Luke Watterson
Birddogs needed LB here, and they got a solid pick here. Hopefully the value meets the need. Grade: B-
TE – Holton Hillburn
Holton is a high ceiling kind of guy, so the Seawolves believe they can develop him and reach that. Should be a low risk, high reward pick, and hopefully it pans out for them. Grade: B-
CB – Logan Steele
Coyotes had a need at CB, and they liked what they had seen from Logan. Should be a decent pick for them, as they build a solid defensive backfield.
RB – Aleksandr Vasiliev
Portland is gonna have a few holes at RB in the coming seasons, so this is a depth pick, but at a good value nonetheless. They liked what they’ve heard through different talks, and I personally think this pick will help them out in the long run. Grade: A
WR – Latavius Jackson
The Buccaneers select Jackson here from the user Slick. He is a known sim league user, so he knows what to do as far as this league is concerned. I don’t know much other than that, but he should be a solid pick for them as well. Grade: B
OL – Bjorn Borg
Coyotes are building on that offense, and Borg is a decent pick here. Should help them out quite a bit as there offense has been through the roof so far to start the season. Grade: B-
RB – Lonnie Jackson
Luchadores picked Lonnie here. He’s doing a great job so far as a rookie depth piece, and he should continue to do great things in the long run. Grade: A+
RB – Lawrence McCoy
Minnesota select McCoy with their last pick in the draft. He wants to be a solid earner, and wants to be a great player, and the Grey Ducks should help him with that. Grade: B
KP – Dallas Dole
From UTEP, Dallas is a good pick here and the first KP off the board. It almost seems like he was drafted for a specific reason, I can’t tell for sure though. Grade: B+
OL – Mr. Poop
Seawolves select Mr. Poop here, and I gotta say, I wish he was drafted 2nd overall, but that’s definitely for a different discussion. He should help them out if he stays active. Grade: Number 2 (B)
CB – Willie Miller
Royals select Miller here. They drafted Ace earlier, and they now have another piece in the secondary, and should be able to build on that in the coming seasons. Grade: B
WR – Kenzie Cupz
Pythons select Cupz with their last pick of the draft. Wasn’t very active at the time, but at this point, you gotta fill rosters, and I think it’s a decent pick for what it’s worth. Grade: C+
DT – Jake Hayes
Buccaneers select Hayes here as they didn’t have DT. Nobody really knows much other than that. Grade: C
TE – Ivo Marriott
Coyotes select Ivo here. He is IA as far as I know, but it’ll be a solid pick if he ever does come back. Grade: C
TE – Rob Banks
At this point, nobody is going to blame anybody with picks like these. Most are inactive from here on out, so you can’t really blame them, but with that said, Tijuana selected the best IA in the draft. Grade: A+
RB – Gerard Grenouille
Royals select Gerard with their second to last pick. Hopefully it pans out for them as they lost their starting RB earlier because of call ups. Grade: B-
CB – Anubis J. Williams II
Birddogs select Williams II here. Another IA, hopefully he comes back soon, but in the meantime should be a good placeholder there. Sweet name too. Grade: C+
CB – Kris Krieg
Seawolves select Krieg with the 69th (nice) overall pick. Not much to say other than that he was or is an IA at the time. Should also be a good placeholder here. Grade: C
KP Alastor Hazbin
Royals select KP Hazbin here. They drafted him because they had lost a couple of their kickers last season. We all know how bad KP are as bots. Grade: A
BONUS
DT David Ramczyk
My man didn’t even get drafted, and he’s honestly killing it for the Luchadores. I couldn’t leave out the man who is one of the greatest waiver pickups the DSFL has ever seen. Tijuana loves David just as much as David loves his Tijuana women. Grade: A+++++++
So there you have it, the full S27 DSFL draft reaction from yours truly. It’s been a fun and great journey, and I also hope I haven’t offended anybody as I honestly found this more to be satire (at least the first part) and was enjoyable to type out. Please reach out to me if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, though I hope you don’t have any concerns, because this is just my personal opinion.
