You know who really grinds my gears? @iamslm22. First, he tries to be a offensive lineman but he’s so bad at that, the league has to step in and abolish the entire position. What does he do next? Switches to become a mediocre quarterback. How is that supposed to help me? I need someone that can get me the ball. Next, and many people don’t know this, he was the real mastermind behind the Las Vegas Legion mass retirement. Knowing how much Ricardo Sandoval wanted to become a GM, he shadow GM’d the greatest franchise collapse since the XFL. Meanwhile, his true motive was to force LV is trading for Sandoval and bringing Alexandre LeClair into the Baltimore camp further diminishing my production. He wants to strut around the Baltimore locker room like he’s big man on campus but anyone with even a tiny bit of common sense can tell that all wins run through Trey Willie.

Do you think he stops there? Oh hell no. Somehow, the snake slithers his way into the Baltimore war room where Hendrix (RIP) and myself conduct all our business. What does he do? He contradicts every move we try to make single-handedly forcing us continue treading in the middle of the league. He knew the entire time Hendrix was hanging by a thread but that didn’t stop him and looking back, I can see why. His end-game that entire time was to force me out of front office so he could slide in and steal my job too. Watch out for this guy because he will destroy everything in his path, including my career, just to get what he wants.

The Tijuana Luchadores have only recently had the pleasure of being able to consider themselves serious contenders, largely due to the active and engaged classes that have passed through the last couple of seasons. And yet, due to the nature of the DSFL, it seems that the Luchadores have always seemed to meet the Marshals in the playoffs only to be stifled in what could hardly be seen as a close game. One occasion saw the Luchadores, coming off the best season of their short history, blown away by what could be argued was an overpowered bot team (Palm Beach Solar Bears who did, in fact, end up winning it all that season). Nevertheless, the focus for the Luchadores has always been on the San Antonio Marshals. Last season, the rivalry took on new life as the Luchadores were able to walk away from the divisional playoffs with their first ever post-season win and Ultimini berth. This season looks to be no different despite the pick disparity in the seasons draft as one could argue that the Marshals and the Luchadores are the top two teams in the DSFL. Assuming both teams can avoid the ever-annoying Palm Beach Solar Bears, the divisional round is set to be a classic with the winner emerging as the favorites for the S8 Ultimini.

Something terribly sad happened this offseason. It started last season with the Tijuana Luchadores making the choice of making Chad Pennington captain of the team. In hindsight, Brad Pennington has shown himself to be the more committed, knowledgeable and talented player. But these things happen, and sometimes it's enough to ruin friendships, even between brothers. Before the playoffs a rift formed between Brad and Chad, resulting in the separation of the two brothers. Now, Brad faces off with Chad and Thad on the field, offensive Pennington versus defensive Penningtons. A battle of whether or not Chad can take down Brad before he can throw or hand off the ball, and if he cannot, in the future Thad will be there to take care of whoever has. This rivalry is only budding right now, but in the future it will be one of the cornerstone rivalries of the NSFL that defines the landscape of the entire league. With this being only the player's second seasons and Thad being in the DSFL seeking another Ultimini, there are few who understand the magnitude of the rift that has formed between the brothers, but in time the entire league will be engulfed in it. Players will choose sides, friendships will be tested to their limits.

Gus T.T. Showbiz has been a part of a growing rivalry with fellow DSFL quarterback Kevin Fitzpatrick of the San Antonio Marshals. Showbiz, the signal-caller for the Kansas City Coyotes has been outshining Fitzpatrick in more recent weeks, with some eye-dazzling performances in the last two weeks.

The rivalry comes to a head again, as they face off for the second time this season. The two teams lead their respective conferences, with a chance to come out top-dog in week 8 as the Coyotes visit San Antonio.

Eyes will be on the opposing quarterbacks as the rivalry grows! Both signal-callers look to be the QB of the future for their NSFL teams, so the rivalry will likely last a long time. Both are waiting-out NSFL greats at their position, so will stay in the DSFL for the time being.

Upon graduating to the NSFL, the rivalry will continue. Their teams faced off in the last Ultimus and look like strong contenders for seasons to come.

Now, a few blatant falsehoods to clean up. I had most of this post thought out before today's announcements.

Fitzpatrick stepped down as GM of the Liberty and stated there is a good chance he'll go inactive and remain in DSFL. I guess he was sick and tired of getting his butt kicked by Showbiz in the DSFL and the NSFL.

The Tijuana Luchadores have never come across to many people as the kind of team to carry a ton of grudges. However, that seems to be the case, as there is a long hard rivalry brewing between this team and the San Antonio Marshals. So far this season, the two long-hated foes are 1-1 against each other. San Antonio got the better of the Tijuana Luchadores during their first matchup this year back in Week 3. The Marshals took the win in that game by a score of 30 to 29. However, the Luchadores struck back, using their secret weapon: Kicker and Punter Kyle Corbett. Corbett made a pair of key field goals alongside his two successful extra point conversions to lead the Luchadores to a 20-16 victory over the Marshals during Week 6 of the season. The two foes will face off two more times this season. The Marshals will cross back below the border in Week 11 when they face off against the Luchadores at Tijuana Stadium. Later, the Luchadores will close out their season in Week 14 against the Marshals in the Alamodome. These two teams have certainly shown the greatness of their rivalry in their first two contests. Will that stay the same for the third and fourth? Only time will tell.

Sports are known for their rivalries, whether it's two teams that hate each other, 2 star players fighting to be the big name, or just two teammates fighting over silly nonsense, rivalries are rampant in professional sports. Write about one of these rivalries that exists in the NSFL.

Chad and Thad Pennington were both drafted to the Yellowknife Wraiths and were just one Pennington short of the ultimate trifecta of Pennington domination. While Brad Pennington is currently leading the charge for the San Jose Sabercats, Chad is midway through his rookie NSFL season with the Yellowknife Wraiths whereas Thad is heading into his second Tijuana Luchadores season after being sent down again by Yellowknife GM Spike Crown.

Despite the fact that Brad is a 7 hour flight away from Chad and Chad is about a 10 hr flight away from Thad, this doesn't stop a budding rivalry. All 3 brothers regularly attempt to one up eachother and 3 specific times, one of the three took it over the line.

Like the time Brad decided to swat Chad during one of his livestreams.

Or the time Chad decided to fly out to Brad in San Jose, infiltrated the San Jose training facilities. managed to get the Pennington jersey, came out to practice and threw less interceptions that left Brad incensed on the sidelines.

Or the time Thad called up Wraiths GM Spike Crown hours before practice to tell him that "Chad" rang him earlier in the day saying he's suffering from delayed onset diarrhea and is requesting officially branded Yellowknife sporting diapers for his foreseeable future at the franchise. Luckily Yellowknife has a solid stock of these , available for all players and fans for each Yellowknife playoff route.

There’s nothing quite like a good sports rivalry. In the National Simulation Football League, the first big rivalry I’d argue was the Orange County Otters and the Arizona Outlaws. As the Outlaws moved to rebuild and the Otters burst out as three time champs, the rivalry shifted to the NSFC power trio: the Baltimore Hawks, Philadelphia Liberty, and Yellowknife Wraiths. During all this, there was the rivalry of crap-itude: Colorado and Las Vegas/New Orleans (now replaced by a new rivalry of crap-itude, San Jose and Arizona). There are quarterback rivalries like Showbiz versus Fitzpatrick, and ones between cornerbacks and receivers. But no rivalry is quite like that of Outlaws’ kicker/punter Dean Jackson and Otters’ kicker/punter Bradley T. Madlad. Mostly because, unlike a traditional rivalry, Jackson is obsessed with Madlad and Madlad doesn’t give a darn, cause he’s an absolute mad lad. In season 5, both kickers kind of just... existed simultaneously. In season 6, they both had record breaking seasons and tied for kicker of the year. In season 7, Jackson continued his hot streak while Madlad played on the low end of the spectrum, and in season 8 that’s flipped. Madlad is on fire while Jackson struggles to tread water. He also struggles to kick field goals.

Most of you probably focus on the NSFL a lot more than the DSFL, but in the past couple of seasons the Kansas City Coyotes and the Portland Pythons have been brewing an exciting rivalry. The Pythons have been the best team in that league, but in my time there, it always felt like our games against those guys were much more important than those against the other teams, more intense, if you will. They gave us some trouble, too, in those games. Look, to be quite frank with you, the Pythons were nigh on unstoppable last season, dominating everyone in their path, and we were almost as good the year before, so we really did not drop a lot of games, and we beat them down in most of our matchups, but that does not mean that this is any less of a rivalry, and a great one, at that. I will be keeping tabs on my old squad, and I will be sure to check in on the scores of those games, to see how they do against the team that I had the most excitement playing against in the last two seasons. After all, me being gone doesn't make those games any less intense.

Well, okay, maybe just a little bit.
