Learning that he would be called up to start in the first week of the NSFL for the Baltimore Hawks after spending his draft season down in the DSFL, Schneider realized that he would have to spend extra hard to get himself super pumped and ready for the season. When @iamslm22 first pulled him into the office, he had no idea what it could've been for as he hadn't gone clubbing for weeks and he couldn't have accidentally done something he would come to regret. That's when his general manager had told him the truth; that he was a big dumb dumb incapable of doing anything on the field because he was a big stupid poopy baby who wouldn't be able to get any picks with his IQ of 50. Taking the GM's criticisms to heart, Schneider spent the offseason attending Oxford University so he could no longer be a stupid motherfucker and actually think when he was on the field. He had taken multiple philosophy classes and learned from geniuses around the world such as Socrates and Confucius. With this knowledge, he was able to travel back to the United States and show his general manager that he was no longer a stupid boy and able to make picks.
Johnny Snuggles has always been told where to be, at what time, and what to do when he gets there. Suddenly, out of school, he no longer had any direction. Word on the street was that he would be a highly sought-after player in the DSFL draft, but he honestly didn’t have any clue what to do in the off-season. Luckily, his uncle went to college with Baltimore Hawks great, Owen Taylor. Owen Taylor was able to get Johnny in touch with his personal trainer, Brock Clubber. Johnny made the trip out to Baltimore to join Taylor, and the workouts began the next day. Now there’s a huge difference between the position of cornerback and running back, but the basic requirements are the same. Agility, strength, great vision, and lots and lots of speed. Johnny had worked hard the past couple of off-seasons, but that was absolutely nothing compared to what Brock put the two of them through. It wasn’t just strength and speed training either. Along with your usual weight lifting and speed training, there was also a huge emphasis on eating correctly and vision development. Brock did add an extra wrinkle for Owen Taylor, however. The aging veteran had announced his retirement after this upcoming season and Brock required him to carry a football everywhere he went. Poor guy.

Sunnycursed didn't really have an offseason. Just as all the best athletes do, you have to keep the work up year round if you hope to become an elite player in the sport. This fact is even more prominent for Sunnycursed, who has just been called up from the DSFL after an Ultimini championship win with the Portland Pythons to play for the Orange County Otters, who drafted him 5th overall a season ago.
Sunnycursed logged a lot of minutes with his good friend King Bronko trying to get his game up to snuff with the speed of the NSFL. While his speed was already the stuff of legends, these workouts helped him improve his hands and his endurance, things that were both a concern of his coaches coming into this season. Sunnycursed also worked closely with his new cast of friends, Gus T. T. Showbiz, Carlito Crush, Tegan Atwell, and Tommy Helanen. It will be a big fight for receptions in this offense, but it is best to have high chemistry before stepping on the regular season turf. Besides extra practice put in after training camp, the crew also went out a lot, visiting various parts of Orange County and having a great time. ![]() ![]()
Over the offseason, Kolby Deringer returned home to Austin to lend a hand with on-field and off-field efforts at his alma mater, the University of Texas. He showed their young linebacker corps techniques to help them improve and potentially use them in their late-season games. They also ventured out to charity endeavors for the city, putting on clinics and helping supply gear for inner-city high schools. The Longhorns and their alumnus guest visited these same schools in playoff runs which, while they ended sooner than they would have liked, exceeded expectations entering the season.
For the San Jose defense, they bring a powerful built-in tag team with the brothers Pennington. Thad brings experience from elsewhere in the league to bolster the secondary while Chad spearheads a linebacking corps that now boasts three veteran stars. With the offensive backfield having grown a year, both sides of the ball can better support one another. Bringing on rookies in defense and special teams should also improve their ability to gain and keep ground and make field goals a more viable strategic option with the selection of Neo Donaldson. San Jose have a much more optimistic outlook to making the playoffs for the first time since Season 6 and certainly to outperform the marks left the last two seasons at 4-10 in Season 10 and 1-13 in Season 11. Alex just spend the offseason with watching the playoffs on his TV and getting motivated to train even more in the offseason so that he could finally reach playing in the playoffs which is one of his goals. Alex also attend the NSFL Awards show in which he got the best Linebacker as well as the Defensive Rookie of the Year trophy. These 2 moments made him very proud and motivated to give his all in the offseason so that he could be able to keep produce at this high of a level.
Alex also visited his family and got some tips by his relative Alexander who once also played in the NSFL but for the Sabercats. Together they did some Linebacker drills and got some advice from the other Selich who once played 3 seasons in the NSFL. Over the summer he celebrated his father's 65th birthday which was quite an emotional moment for Alexander too because his father that rarely showed his emotions cried out of joy when mentioning how he was able to witness his son's dream come true by being drafted in the NSFL and having a great performance. Near the end of the offseason Alex also visited his alma mater FAU and got some workouts in as well as given the college kids some advice there. ![]() Player Page Update Page
Going in this final season Angus Winchester didn't quite know what to expect. The Otters had begun firing on all cylinders once again and the team was looking similar to their past selves from the dynasty days. Angus being one of the oldest two players still on the field has seen a lot of football in his time and was excited to see what this squad would be able to put together in season 12. Given that he knew his age had slowed him down and that he was going to be difficult to pull off a dominant performance on the defensive line he did his best to focus on learning the playbook and watching tape on his opponents in order to try and win with his knowledge and experience in the game. Being surrounded by other top defensive players doesn't hurt either and the young faster guys will likely benefit from him as much as he does from them. Other than preparing for the regular season and his last shot at another championship title Angus tried to keep it casual this offseason and start to get the pieces in place for his retirement. He's preparing the farm to scale up a little bit now, getting some contracts in place, repairing some equipment, etc.

Jordan von Matt spend a lot of time with family and friends over the off season. After a long season, you really need at least a few weeks to a month to distress and reset yourself mentally. It mainly involved golfing and relaxing by the beach, two things that arguable will never get old. After those few weeks, Jordan decided that he needed to get himself back to the gym to work on a few of his weaknesses. He was really happy with his speed last season, but what he really wanted to focus on was his hands. Too many times last year, Jordan either dropped passes or they would tip off his hands and end up as an interception. Jordan was committed to making sure this wouldn't happen again, or at least much less than before. He sought out star wide receiver Carter Bush, who also plays for the Philadelphia Liberty, in an attempt to learn a few things from the veteran. While Bush is arguably the best receiver on the Liberty, he is much older, and eventually will have to hand to reigns over to Jordan. Hopefully it won't be before the Liberty win a championship, but we'll have to wait and see about that one.
