Icy Douglas, Co-GM of the Tijuana Luchadores, is spending his paycheck a little differently this season. As it has been rumored, Icy has begun training to play professional baseball in the PBE. Icy is now 33 years old, and has been focused solely on GMing the Luchadores for the past 5 years. So, he has a lot of catching up to do. The last time Icy played baseball was in college, at the University of Colorado, where he played both football and baseball. Baseball has always been a side hobby of Icy’s, but never surpassed his love of football and football analytics. But now, it’s time to try out baseball again. Hence, Icy has hired the best trainers available in the Northern Mexico/Southern California area, both to increase strength and to get his batting skills back. His focus will be the same as it was in college, power hitting and balanced fielding in the outfield. With the longer PBE offseason due to the new expansion draft, this will give Icy extra time to train. While his priority is still building winning teams in Tijuana, he thinks he can contribute to at least a minor league team in the offseason.
Johnny Blaze may only be in the DSFL, but he is still not having any problems spending paychecks he has not officially earned yet. Blaze is known to be somewhat of a party animal, and he has lived up to that reputation thus far. He has been spotted out in downtown Portland recently leaving night clubs with multiple women, something many residents of Portland were absolutely aghast upon laying their eyes on. Blaze freely spends his money on dab pens and Red Bull vodkas, and he is not shy to let everyone know about it. Blaze does not fit in with the locals, but so far, he seems to be fitting in just fine with his teammates. They know that he has a unique skill set and brings a lot to the table.
One anonymous teammate added: “Listen, I don’t care if this guy is like The Godfather himself and has an entire train of Ho’s. As long as he can be a freak out on the football field, why should I care if he’s a freak behind closed doors? Whatever floats your boat. I’m trying to be on a float this year for a championship parade. Blaze is going to be a huge part if we want to do that again.”

Money is a relatively strange concept to Marc Spector. Being a clone and growing up in a secret offshore lab, he was just given all his things. And he was not formally brought up in a school so his introduction to society wasn't exactly smooth. Because of this, he was not really paid very lucratively with his rookie contract. But since he has become aware of how money works he has a list of things he wishes to purchase. Of course, being very much a child, these things include a cotton candy machine, a complete set of Pokemon Cards, his own private roller coaster and a pet hippo. He has 3 of those 4 things now that he is a millionaire. His first purchase after he was made aware of currency was the cotton candy machine and he uses it almost every day, as he has cotton candy with his breakfast in the morning. He then contracted a designer to build a roller coaster on a plot of land which he also bought, in central Kansas. It's nothing crazy, but it's a lot of fun. He then purchased a complete set of Pokemon cards off eBay, likely overpaying greatly for them, but he has a fondness for the game so, he is content with the purchase. He does not have a hippo, as that would be highly dangerous and even more illegal.
Jorel Tuck spends his extra cash from his career in the National Simulation Football League to support his love for food. Aside from going to fine dining in San Jose and the greater California Bay Area, but he also makes a point to visit at least one fine dining spot at each away game. Furthermore Jorel has used his earnings to hire a personal chef so each of his meals at home are of high quality, fine food, that is also already prepared for him. In addition to giving him great meas while he is home his chef ensures Jorel is eating a balanced diet that is also healthy and keeps him in top shape to play football.
There is a large expense associated with Jorel Tuck’s extravagant eating habits as he frequently goes out at home and while on the road. The cost of his personal chef and using fine, fresh, and local ingredients is another expense that is high and takes a sizeable chunk out of Jorel Tuck’s salary. However, the cost of enjoying his meals while also maintaining the lifestyle necessary of a professional athlete is worth it for Jorel Tuck in this case. He enjoys the foods he frequents and those prepared by his chef so much that there is a high chance even after his career is over he will not be going back to the old days of cooking all of his own meals at home.
D’Pez Poopsie isn’t your normal every day run of the mill football player that blows money on drugs, strippers, and the like. He is not the sharpest tool in the shed, so he spends a shit ton of his extra money on unnecessary things like pet rocks, pet plants, pet ants, and he also sends a shit ton home to his family. Poopsie is quite the odd man, since he thinks that his pet rocks and pet plants can talk to him. His plants are actually named after the heist crew in Money Heist, and his pet rocks are named after different characters in the T.V. Show Community. D’Pez’s ants are named after different anime characters. If you can tell, D’Pez doesn’t really have a lot of friends, so he just does random acts like this to have people to talk to on a daily basis. His teammates love him on the field, but off of it, well, I guess you can say it’s a different story. He has tried to open up to some of his teammates and they just kind of give him that long blank stare like something is seriously wrong with him, which in all honesty, probably is.
Thorian Skarsgard was raised in the kind of home where money was important and not to squandered on things that aren't necessities. His parents did alright, but they certainly weren't rich, so Thorian learned from a young age to be frugal with his spending. When he first got drafted into the DSFL, and earned his first contract, the first thing he did was call his parents with the news. His dad told him to go out and treat himself to something he really wanted. He had worked incredibly hard, his father had told him, and he deserved to have something nice. He spent a lot of time mulling over what he could buy for himself, he just kept feeling guilty about the idea of flashing money around somewhere. So, in classic professional athlete fashion, he decided to do something nice for his parents that had sacrificed everything so that he could play a sport for a job. Knowing that his parents were getting towards retirement age, he wanted to buy them a beautiful new home where they could spend their "golden years". Having spent their entire lives between the frigid temperatures of Norway and the rocky coastline of Rhode Island, he thought a warmer change of scenery would be called for. After thinking about it for a long time, he chose San Diego, California. A nice house along the beach where his parents could for walks on the sand. What a surprise it would make for them!
