Nacho Varga's gameday routine varies from game to game. In college at the University of New Mexico, Nacho would usually start his morning with a large chicken biscuit combo at Los Pollos Hermanos. The carbs are great game day fuel. After his breakfast, he would head over to campus to get an early start at the facilities. He would usually spend about 30 minute on the jug machine; catching 100 balls without any drops before moving on to some last-minute film study. Nacho always drew the opposing team's best DB, if not double coverage for the game. He had to take advantage of every slip up by the defense to maximize his opportunities, and watching film of them was the best way to know ahead of time how to get open.
Now in the DSFL, his routine has more variance. Unless the team is visiting Tijuana, there are no Los Pollos Hermanos to be found. He usually grabs breakfast at the hotel with the team, and grabs an early bus to the stadium to get in some reps with his QB, Apollo Lange. Nacho does use headphones to drown out noise in the locker room. He prefers the camaraderie of his teammates. The Solar Bears have become a close-knit unit quickly, and he's soaking up every moment with the team in what could be a brief stint in the DSFL for some of the players.
