Most of you would known Quenton Bode as a rookie linebacker for the New Orleans Second Line. And you'd be correct: there is a player who fits that description. But that's not the only Quenton Bode in the world.

Meet Quenton Bode: a thirty-four year-old architect living in Chicago, Illinois. He's married to his high school sweetheart, Diana, who works as a restaurant manager. The couple have two children together, Aurora and Rose. This Quenton Bode isn't a huge football fan, although he's heard about the upcoming Chicago Butchers team and might watch some of their games. He'd rather watch basketball, whether that's the Bulls of the NBA or the Nightmare of the SBA. Both of his daughters play basketball, and Aurora - a high school junior - has already been contacted by several colleges interested in recruiting her.

Even though he's not the biggest football fanatic, Bode is pleased to know that he shares a name with one of the NSFL's biggest rising stars. He can't quite bring himself to actually root for a New Orleans team, but every once in a while he'll check the box score to see how his namesake performed in his most recent game. And although Quenton Bode the football player has stated his intent to spend his entire career in New Orleans, Quenton Bode the architect still holds out hope that he makes the move to Chicago--that way, he can get an authentic Butchers jersey with his name on it.

I am sure there are a lot of people named James Bishop in the United States. In fact you dont even need to condense only to the states. There are likely a ton of people named James Bishop around the world. For instance there is a man who works for Catholic Charities as a Director and Attorney. He is an older man, old enough to be called James’ father. This is precisely what happens. Day in and day out he meets a lot of people coming into his office for various reasons and they see the nameplate which says James Bishop and they immediately strike conversation regarding the NSFL and the Yeti. They then ask if he is indeed James’ father. He politely says no and tries to redirect the conversation back to why they came in here. He often spends a lot of time just listening to people talk. He had thought about changing his name a few times just so he could get some work done. But that was not the right course of action. Instead just below his nameplate he wrote on there in bold black ink that he is in no way related to the star Yeti wide receiver. Maybe more action will need to be taken in the future.

A quick google search tells me that my namesake is a pretty solid middle school track athlete in Missouri. His 100 meter dash is 14.6 seconds in the 7th grade and his shot put is 33 feet. He's competed in all-city meets and in all-conference meets, even scoring 3 points for his team at the conference meet. Mini-McKinnie seems to only be just outside of the top 5 for 7th graders in the state of Missouri. He has potential to be a very solid track athlete in the future, I believe he could crack the top 5. He's also in the upper echelon of track athletes across the whole country. Maybe he could even get into football, he definitely has the natural athleticism. It would be funny to have two people with the exact same name in the league at the same time. I think I might send him a jersey or a hat with an autograph because it's always cool to find someone who shares something as simple as a name. My name isn't super common as well so it's awesome that there are real people with the same name as me. I'm definitely going to try and contact this kid just to get him some sort of memorabilia.

Dr. Xerxes Ridley is a very interesting man. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York to very poor parents who gave their everything to get him a good education. It certainly paid off, as Ridley graduated as the salutatorian of his high school class and ended up going to Yale University for his undergraduate degree. He ended up getting a PhD in Biochemistry at Harvard University and has been working at MIT as a professor ever since he finished. While he has heard a few things about the aspiring DSFL player who shares his name, he doesn't follow developmental football closely, so he doesn't know much about the kid. Dr. Ridley occupies much of his time teaching graduate level biochemistry courses and managing a lab that studies the effects of certain protein plaques on the health of the brain. Dr. Ridley is quite a bit older than the football player and has a wife and two teenage daughters, who both couldn't care less about football. They are actually aspiring basketball athletes in high school, hoping to get scouted by top-tier universities as soon as possible. Dr. Ridley hopes to work at MIT for as long as he can and has no intention of retiring once his daughters finish their education. He also dearly loves the Boston area and could never see himself migrating to the west coast like the younger Ridley.

My namesake is a simple, old man, who wants nobody on his lawn. Every kid that runs by pretending to be Leighton Lee, he demands to get off of his lawn and stop playing on his property. He sits there and is mad all the time, hating the world knowing that no matter how much more he lives, he will never reach the goal he once had of being a professional hockey player. He sits with his legs worn down, seeing that he not only failed to be a great athlete, but he failed to be the type of father and man that he intended to be. He watches his son every single day and sees him do what he never could and sees him live up to the expectations that he has for himself. He hurts every day knowing that being an accountant behind a desk was never what he wanted to do, but he did it anyways. He realized that his life has led up to this moment, which was a moment that wasn't good enough. All this time he realized that he is a sad old man with no drive in life anymore. His name is Leighton Lee Sr., and he hates the thought of knowing the Jr.

The alternate Walt Green has no idea who the National Simulation Football League Walt Green is. He does not care for football, he doesn’t care for most sports. He barely knows who Lebron James is. So he for sure doesn’t know who this no name not famous football player Walt Green is. This alternate Walt Green is a store manager of a Walgreens in Owensboro, Kentucky. He has been there for over thirty years. It has been a good position for him. He earns enough to support his family, which is his wife and two kids. He has lived a simple calm life watching his kids play soccer and baseball. He and his wife enjoy the occasional trip to Louisville and camping in Hoosier National Forest. Walt Greens typical day is waking up at 5 am, shower and eat breakfast with his wife Darla and sees his kids off to school. He arrives at His store at 10 am, an hour after it has opened and will be there until 5 pm. That’s the perk of being a store manager. He gets to decide what hours he works. That said unless he is on vacation, he always has a work phone on him just incase something goes wrong. While time with his family comes first, he cares a lot about his store and his employees. He does his best to make it the best ran Walgreens in the country.

Bona’beri Jones is quite the unique name. 60-year-old Australian archaeologist, Bona’beri Jones, thought he was alone in the world. That is until a football player in America began making some headlines. That’s when the internet searches led to archaeologist Jones’ website and his efforts to uncover archaeology remains of the ancient hominoid species Homo Lacertilia. Homo Lacertilia walked upright like modern humans but had long tails that could seemingly regenerate if severed. Jones has been instrumental in the work on Homo Lacertilia. In fact, Jones is the only person with any published work on the species. Nonetheless, the attention from football player Bona’beri Jones, led to archaeologist Jones’ successful gofundme. Archaeologist Jones thanks football player Jones for that, but that does not mean you will find archaeologist Jones watching any American football games. He was quoted saying, “ First, that isn’t even really football; and second, there is too much work to be done on Homo Lacertilia for me to be sitting around watching games”. Folks in football player Jones camp want to arrange a meetup between the two Bona’beri Jones and hope to get that done this upcoming off-season. A cross-over in football and archaeology is exactly what the sports-academic fields need.
