Josh Garden is not joining the players union in this case.
Seriously though, I get that you guys want to have this and whatnot but none of these are official positions within the site. The head office, myself as site owner, GMs, we arent making decisions to benefit ourselves. All decisions we make are for the betterment of the league and happiness of the players because if the players aren't happy they will leave and the site will die.
A union is needed in real life because it's a business where tons of money is involved so the business side of things is looking to make money. The union is needed so the players interest don't take a back seat to the money and so players can get paid fairly too.
To be clear. This is all cool, you guys can do this and have fun with it but none of it is paid by the league nor is an official league position within the head office or governing areas.

I think we understand this. I think we also understand it needs to be a key benefit for players if they are willing to give a small portion of their salary.
I think we understand unions lol and that these aren't official positions. We are currently looking into that, in case you didnt see

I see this as a fun little RP thing tbh
Could be cool to help each other negotiate contracts though as long as it doesn't start a trend of bullying GMs for more money

Well, I see we've identified the first issue for the PA to take on. We need to make those high and mighty bastards take us seriously. Once we, you know, properly exist.

So, I don't understand the issues a PA is trying to fix?
What is the whole point of this?
Let's take a sample issue typically most important to players associations: players compensation.
You want to further regulate pay on teams, but as a player I want to win more than I want to get paid a bunch. Like, I can't go out and buy a Maserati because we won the NSFL championship and I got a $1mil bonus. Wtf is the point? I like winning more than being paid $9 million per season. I'll write two articles worth 9 mil and have fun doing it. I don't understand the baseline for this organization

Yeah, because its a forum, its a site, it means nothing unless you win a championship. But even then, it still means nothing. Its about your thought process. I could be on the shittiest team and I would want to get paid more because I want to be better and carry my team to a championship. These roles of "I only care about winning" can go both way, right?

If it became an RP thing, it would be AMAZING. The PA would be a complete necessity and with a "rougher" front office and league officials, we would have TONS of exposure and capabilities.

It's a fine question, as rookies have a ton of control over their initial contracts.
As for pay, I actually worry about the opposite, good talent not paid enough, thereby making it too easy to form long-standing dynasties. Granted, there are other ways to fix this issue, but I actually would advocate raising minimum pay for higher tier players.
