Welcome to another interview. This time I interviewed a few London players that just got drafted to the ISFL. I asked them their thoughts on a few things so let's dive in.
Doornob: So I was very excited getting scouted was a lot of fun and I am happy with landing in Berlin
Dolphins: Nice, I bet you can’t wait for that call up call, what do you think of your new teammates? Are there any you have specifically bonded with?
Doornob: Uh obviously too early to tell, but I’m happy I got London boys like u (Dolphins) and blorgl on the team to help with the adjustment, I really liked DeWalt too
Dolphins: Berlin is amazing, and so am I. so your a K right? So who do you think will be your big team to go against through your career?
Doornob: Uh Sarasota would definitely be one that I would feel excited to play against, since they have a lot of londoners. Also Philly since they have my kicker rival TP
Dolphins: Ah, those are good reasons. What do you love about London so far, the team and city?
Doornob: so london has been awesome, the team is the main reason to stick around but being a young kicker from the US, it has been awesome to be able to leave the country for the first time to play for a team in the UK, and its awesome that i get to stay in europe for berlin
Dolphins: very true, staying in europe was one reason i liked going to berlin too. Who is your favorite teammate and who would you think of as a rival in another team?
Doornob: alot of amazing teammates so shout out anyone who came from london to berlin, rivals, probably IKickBallz and basically any other young kicker
Dolphins: Those are all great options, now it’s time for the last question, what are you looking forward to in your career and what are you expecting?
Doornob: the career is up in the air right now since berlin has a kicker ahead of me, DeWalt mentioned that i could beat him out but again alot of this depends on my own development as a player. I have no idea if i will be good enough to win this duel but i am excited about it
Dolphins: Sound fun and like a great plan for the future, I’m excited to continue to play with you in the next level
Doornob: but for now my goal is to help London get back to winning ways
Dolphins: Same, That’s everyone’s goal
Woelkers: Very happy with it. Philly feels like an ideal landing spot for me from day one.
Dolphins: Nice, I bet you can’t wait for that call up call, what do you think of your new teammates? Are there any you have specifically bonded with?
Woelkers: Big fan of the boys in blue. Pat and Cody are two of my favorite GMs in the league, and they've pulled some great users to the team.
Dolphins: Sounds like a solid team, so your a CB right? So what receiver do you think will be your big guy to go against through your career?
Woelkers: I think the obvious name here is Staggs. Especially knowing that Sailor is going to developing alongside Staggs, that's a dangerous duo.
Dolphins: Ok, first off I’m a little offended, but disregarding that that is a good dangerous duo, What do you love about London so far, the team and city?
Woelkers: First things first, no offense intended, just know I won't be going toe to toe with you as long as them. As for London, I've most enjoyed having the unique experience of playing for a fanbase that's growing with the team. This game is fairly new to Europe, this team is fairly new to London. So part of playing for this team is showing the fan base we're exciting and here to stay
Dolphins: That is a really good point, Who is your favorite teammate and who would you think of as a rival in another team?
Woelkers: Tough to choose just one favorite teammate. Plenty of great people in London. You, Parm, Doornob, etc. Easy rival is Tessie Garciaparra. Reno and I are good pals, and playing CB opposite each other has been fun
Dolphins: Sounds like a really fun time, last question. What are you looking forward to in your career and what are you expecting?
Woelkers: I just think this is an opportunity to show everybody the talent I've got. I'm not tied to anything long term, so I can make the most of this experience.
Dolphins: Good plan, can’t wait to watch your carrer, and I can’t wait to watch you following behind me after I burn you in the ISFL. Well that all the questions I have for you, congratulations on being drafted
Woelkers: I look forward to catching you on the field in the future, my man!
Dolphins: You won’t be able to catch me, you be eating my dust, but until then I love being your teammate and keep making plays
DeadlyPlayer: I was pretty happy with where I went. I've never been a high enough earner to go really high, and I know that, so I temper my expectations. Excited I could go to such a cool place like Sarasota!
Dolphins: Nice, I bet you can’t wait for that call up call, what do you think of your new teammates? Are there any you have specifically bonded with?
DeadlyPlayer: I love em to death. I've been lucky enough to know people like abh, slate, mojo, and kraz who are all great. I also got the privilege of getting to know new users/players in the way of fronk, sakrosankt, and plenty of others! The newest person I've bonded with the most probably is sakro. We'd spend a decent amount of time talking about our favorite NFL teams and stuff like that.
Dolphins: Love to hear that, so your a DT right? So what QB do you think will be your big guy to go against through your career?
DeadlyPlayer: It would have to be Caliban out of Colorado. Not out of spite though, my last player played for the Yeti and I think it'd just be funny and a little amusing haha.
Dolphins: Ooooo that is an interesting story, What do you love about London so far, the team and city?
DeadlyPlayer: As for the people and players of London, also love them to death haha, haven't found nicer people yet. As for the city, there's way to much to do for a single person, but I do love looking at/around Tower Bridge, such an iconic London sight and piece of architecture.
Dolphins: London is a great place, Who is your favorite teammate and who would you think of as a rival in another team?
DeadlyPlayer: Great question! I'd have to say one of the newer people I got to be teammates with that I really like is dolphins! If I may, I'd also have to add woelkers as one of my favorite teammates because we've known each other going back quite a while.
Dolphins: This Dolphins guy sounds cool, I’d love to hear more about him sometime. But for now it’s time for the last question, what are you looking forward to in your career and what are you expecting?
DeadlyPlayer: I am personally looking forward to keep contributing in London. When I do get called up, I am looking forward to play with all those Sarasota legends, and new teammates. I hope for all time career I can win a few awards, but as long as I contribute something to my team, that's all good to me!
Dolphins: Sounds like a solid plan and a solid career in the making, I’m sure you’ll get all the sacks and TFL unless your playing Berlin
Thank you for reading, I wish all you draftees good luck. I will see some of you on the field and that leaves me to my end so, I'll see you in the next one, whether it be a media article or when I'm smoking your favorite cornerback or I'm smoking you.
Doornob
Dolphins: First question is what are your thoughts on your draft position?Doornob: So I was very excited getting scouted was a lot of fun and I am happy with landing in Berlin
