Blackford Oakes' New Years resolution is to get revenge on the dastardly, diabolical Connor Tanner. As everyone knows by now, Tanner was instrumental in blackmailing, coercing, and otherwise forcing most of the Las Vegas Legion into retiring last offseason [citation needed]. Since Oakes resisted, Tanner has tried to sabotage Oakes at every turn. He would like to end this feud this year so that it's not hanging over his head going into 2019 and 2020.
In order to achieve this, Blackford Oakes has retained a team of strategists and general douchebags that have been advising him on how grind Tanner into submission. So far they've:
1. Sabotaged his computer, causing it to blue screen any time he tries to do anything
2. Partied with the roster of the Hamilton Steelhawks ahead of their Game 7 against the Minnesota Chiefs, tiring them out and inducing hangovers that resulted in them losing the game and the playoff series
3. Kidnapped his dog Bleu and renamed it Gooney
There can be only one and this year will decide it.
