The most underrated player this season in the DSFL is none other than Portland Pythons tight end Glenn McPoyal. McPoyal was a highly touted tight end in the draft, and I think the Pythons got an absolute steal with this kid. He's big, strong, fast, and physical. He has all of the traits you want in a successful tight end, and I think he's going to be a force in the DSFL and for the duration of his career in the NSFL.
In an offense that is highlighted by Dwayne Aaron, McPoyal has flown under the radar thus far, amassing only 159 yards in 6 games. However, McPoyal has also proven himself as a blocker with 6 pancakes so far this season. McPoyal has 146 TPE early in his DSFL career, and he's primed to take on a larger and larger role as time goes on. His low receiving numbers are most likely a symptom of a league that traditionally doesn't have tight ends with out of this world statistics as well as limited time to get one the same page as his young, albeit talented, quarterback Austin Roenick. Underrated now, look out for McPoyal to start turning heads in the very near future.
