Did you know that Crocs has their headquarters in Colorado? The popularity of their shoes has fallen off in recent years so they came up with a new marketing strategy to revitalize sales. They sell customizable clips that can be clipped into the holes on the shoes to add some personalization to the shoes. With the rising popularity of the NSFL, Crocs decided to appeal to a new audience by adding a line of NSFL clips for their shoes, including each of the team logos and the NSFL logo. They wanted to promote the clips by bringing in an actual NSFL player to create hype for the products. They turned toward the local team and were able to get Boss Tweed to come in and promote their product. For the advertisment, they had Tweed wear a pair of Crocs decked out with NSFL clips and play in a flag football game against a group of employees from their company, to show that their shoes are not just meant for comfort but also for functionality. As a professional athlete playing against business executives, Tweed put on quite a show during the game and gave them some good clips for the commercial. However, Tweed has stated that he will continue to wear regular cleats on game days, so we will not see him wearing Crocs during an actual game anytime soon.
