In retrospect, a deal that changed the landscape of the season for Baltimore would be when Ricardo Sandoval decided to pursue the Las Vegas GM opportunity. This caused the Hawks to lose an active defensive player as well as one half of their defensive line. This set off a series of moves that when the dust settled, left the team in Baltimore in an unfamiliar situation. The trade that sent Ricardo Sandoval to the desert brought back Alexandre LeClair in return. He was in the final year of his deal so it was up to the GMs of Baltimore to show him his true worth and ink a long term deal. During the season, the Hawks’ offense had a surge and pushed them to new heights. While their defense was left reeling, the high power offense was a shimmer of excellence and was just enough to convince LeClair that Baltimore was his new home. (154)
