Robbed: Write about why a team that failed to make the playoffs should have over somebody else. Can be completed at any point
The Philadelphia Liberty had a great chance at making the playoffs over the Baltimore Hawks. In fact both teams were so evenly matched during the regular season that they had the same amount of points scored (405) and only 1 point against in difference (Baltimore had 340 points against. Philadelphia had 339 points against.) Ultimately, what sealed the playoffs spot for the Hawks was a better divisional record, which came at the hands of defeating the Yellowknife Wraiths at home, something that the Liberty was unable to do this season.
In the end, there were two key matches that played gave us the result we ended with. The Hawks win over the Wraiths in Week 8, where they dominated a Yellowknife team at home in a game that not many had given the Hawks a chance. The other game is in Week 10 against the Liberty, also at home, that ultimately gave Baltimore the advantage they needed in the division. Afterwards it was all damage control for the rest of the season, winning games they expected to win and losing other ones where they were expected to lose.
The playoffs matchup might have looked different but in the end, I believe that the Wraiths would have proven too strong at home for either team, especially since the game was hosted in Yellowknife.
