On draft day I was sitting on my couch with my brother, considering my family was in Missouri and I had blown all my money on super expensive cleats and gloves I didn't exactly have a lot of money to fly them out to Portland. I could only afford my younger brother, who is in college. We were eating Pizza when the trade happened, and Colorado traded down to 3 and Sabercats traded up to 2. My stomach sunk, although SJS wasn't an awful destination Colorado was where I wanted to go. Me and my brother knew the only reason that San Jose would trade as much as they did to move up would be to take a guy that the Yeti would take...But then we were dumbfounded as they selected Cordell Joshua and I was then taken by Colorado. We sat there until about the 3rd round when we finally realized what happened. Little did I know I had missed a phone call from Nick Pierno who was calling to congratulate me (whoops). I immediately got my pre-packed suitcases and me and my brother headed to the airport. He was going back to Missouri and me to Colorado. We had a short goodbye and parted ways, me and my brother were always close and didn't need to talk to understand each other. Me and Pierno talked a lot on my flight to Colorado, he was excited about the upcoming season and couldn't wait to get to work.
