(S6) - PT1 - Draft Day Fever

Come hell or highwater I knew I would be drafted but the big Texas sized question was...where in the heck would it be. There were 4 other good quarterbacks in the last S6 DSFL draft class and I didn’t have the darndest clue where I’d land. I spoke with San Antonio and Portland a lot during the scouting process and these guys sounded like they knew what the heck they were doing. Unfortunately, my time with Texas and the South was through so I had to turn down Mr. Roly and Mr. Run for Portland instead since I had the best discussions with him. They assured me that they would be picking me with their 10th overall and gave me their word. As a man, that’s all you got in this world...your word and your balls! It still made me sweat thinking I wouldn’t get picked by them and I saw Sam Penner and Ryan Applehort get selected before me. I wouldn’t even consider those boys apart of my peer group in a good way. Those boys got fancy bankrolls and contracts from all their media appearances and so I knew I couldn’t compete with them as a wildcard out of Texas. In the end though, @PDXBaller and @speculadora were true gentleman and selected me without hesitation. For that, I’m forever grateful! I’m here to put some South in your mouth Portland!
