Balthazar Crindy's new team isn't exactly a title competitor, but they didn't exactly arrive at the bottom of the mountain. Now, S2, with Bronko retiring and a rookie QB thrust into the starting role, it kinda does feel like starting over in his second season.
Expectations for this season are to use an offseason that saw a 13 point increase in strength to my advantage - I'd like to see more red zone touches, more pancakes in protecting a conservative offense and a rookie QB. I already commanded a big share of the catches as a rookie - I'd like to sustain that, but convert more of them into broken tackles and touchdowns.
Let's face it, the team is going to struggle. We have a leadership vacuum that I intend to help fill. But I don't intend to give up. I don't intend to settle. I don't intend to be happy or fulfilled or content with a last place finish or a first overall draft pick. We've got a new rookie QB who says "If 0 (TD's) and 2 (INT's) is the worst, I would be very happy". That. Shit. Don't. Fly in my locker room. New QB needs to get better every day.
