For the Kansas City Coyotes, there is only one way to improve upon last season: win the Ultimini. That showdown came to the final drive and down to a final, high-leverage field goal. As a whole unit, we want to come back stronger and prepared to dominate the DSFL, then march right back to the Ultimini and win it. Such vengeance would be even sweeter if we were to line up against Tijuana once again.

For my player, after earning three DSFL award nominations - for Linebacker of the Year, Defensive Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year - and none of the accolades, a personal goal would be to snag at least one of the eligible awards, if not both of them. Having been named among the best in the DSFL last season was truly an honor.

It was also a greater motivation to not have won any of the awards to come back in full force this time to win at least one of the two he will be eligible for, if not both. With offseason workouts building up to a capped attribute line, Kolby Deringer is ready to blow up some ball carriers, drop his credentials by the committee at season's end and leave in silence. He won't need any more of a case than that.
