Expectations in San Jose are pretty low to say the least regarding this season in particular. The team was mostly deconstructed last year and most of our upcoming talent is developing in the DSFL. We are not explicitly tanking, but the team simply doesn't have very many players who can reasonably compete at the NSFL level. I expect we can win a game or two against struggling Arizona and Philadelphia teams, but nothing is certain. In relation to myself the very least I would like to accomplish is some kind of performance that improves upon last season. Seven touchdowns and thirty one interceptions isn't exactly a high bar to eventually overcome. The receiving corps took a huge hit with the departure of Mayran Jackson, but Shane Weston is still around for another season. However, the team has improved at tight end by drafting the Tijuana Luchadores star Zapp Brannigan. He's already a huge improvement from Break Bottles and Tor Tuck Jr. at his current level. Historically young Quarterbacks still struggle, so my stats may not improve all that much despite my ongoing development. I'd say that this is a season to have fun and not worry about winning or losing persay since a few other teams are in the same exact position.
