Season 3 - Week 13, Las Vegas Legion vs Yellowknife Wraiths

This game was a curb-stomp all the way through. With a 23-0 halftime lead for the Wraiths that continued to snowball, Yellowknife bodied the Legion 50-13 on this occasion.

The focus is on Wraiths QB Brian Orosz, who set the current passer rating record for a single game in NSFL history with a 157.5 rating. For reference, a perfect passer rating is 158.3. Orosz' stat line was literally only a completion here and a yard there away from a perfect rating. Among other factors Orosz met, a perfect rating requires a 77.5% completion rate and 12.5 yards per attempt. Going 23/30 for 374 yards, 5 TD and 0 INT on the night, one more completion and one more yard would have met the mark for the NSFL's first-ever perfect passing game.

Reviewing his play-by-play, his drives were very incisive on passes, looking for short gains until hitting the big one to gain massive ground or score a long-distance touchdown. Even on the drives where they couldn't punch it in, they were close enough to try three field goals, of which they converted two. The Wraiths also had plenty of possession time to spare on their ground game to support the air as well, with the backs combining for 117 yards on 40 attempts and 1 touchdown.

All in all, a team effort helped, though it was still on Orosz to deliver, and on this night, he did, even if it was a hair short of perfection.
