(S9) - PT 3 - Past Events

One my favorite events during my time in the NSFL was actually when I played with the Portland Pythons in S4. We were awesome that season, going 11-3, only losing to the stupid ass Chicago Blues 3 times. Portland was the best place for me to land. The locker room was active, and @PDXBaller was the best GM for a new player to really start out with. He’s a big reason I’m still a part of the league today. John Wachter (RIP) and I were an awesome tandem, and we went 1 and 2 in receptions that season. We walked all the way to the Ultimini and won it all. I have a lot of fond memories of that season, going into war with guys like Cameron Taylor, Andreas Waiters, Norman Bagwell, John Christ at QB. Most of those guys (I think) are gone now, but that magical season really is what propelled me into the NSFL. I was skeptical of if I’d be able to do two sim leagues (the other being the SHL, and of course now I do 4 of them anyway) and this experience really made it so that I’d be sticking around. This of course lead to being picked first overall in the NSFL Draft by Colorado, which was another awesome event in my sim life. So yeah, the S4 Pythons were the best to me. Love them. (233)
