The up and coming series of shorts called NSFL: Legends of the Game contacted LeClair in order to make one of the episodes a biography about him. This 2-hour long documentary goes into great depth and looks at LeClair’s past, growing up in Montreal where other sports such as hockey and soccer were more prevalent and where the CFL dominated the grid iron games.

The first hour focuses on LeClair before the NSFL. As they go back to Montreal to shoot this section we hear LeClair recount how he was born in a well-off family but once he entered his teens was forcibly taken off sports to focus on his studies in the hopes he’d follow in the family business. He also talks about his rebellion and how his parents kicked him out of the house at the age of 16. This hour-long part 1 finishes with LeClair telling us how he rediscovered sports as his freedom of expression outlet.

The second hour puts a greater emphasis on LeClair in the NSFL. How he got drafted late, his position change, his first season in Yellowknife. It goes on talking about his trade to the Las Vegas Legion and the pressure of playing on a losing team for so long. The last bit of this part 2 is LeClair talking about his move to Baltimore and the Hawks, finally producing at the top of the league standards. It ends with him reflecting on his whole career so far and stating that overall it wasn’t that bad at all.
