Well, the regular season has ended and it's time to revisit the expectations I set out for at the beginning of the year. I set my expectations very high because I believed in my team and myself. Let's see how we fared.
The first expectation was a team one. I said that I expected us, the Tijuana Luchadores, to repeat as Ultimini Champions. Now, the playoffs haven't finished yet, but we're certainly on track to repeat as champs. We finished with the best record in the DSFL, giving us home field advantage throughout the playoffs. We've got a tough match up against the Marshalls to start things off, but I'm confident in my teammates that we can get this done.
The other expectations were set for myself. I wanted to go out there and be the best, showing why I was drafted 1st overall in the NSFL draft. My expectations were to lead the DSFL in receiving yards and touchdowns. With the help of my teammates, I achieved both. Not only did I lead the DSFL in receiving yards and touchdowns, but I also led in catches, to give me the elusive receiver triple crown. On top of all that, I got the record for most yards, touchdowns, and catches in one season. Without sounding overly cocky, I achieved the greatest regular season for wide receivers in DSFL history. Now, I just need to carry it over to the playoffs and get us that back-to-back Ultimini.
