(S9) - PT 5 - Revisiting Expectations

It's still too early to know if, as a team, the Luchadores met my expectations. I said that our season would be disappointing if we didn't win the Ultimini, and I still believe that. Especially now that we finished the season in first place and that we had the best season in franchise history, the championship is the only acceptable goal. It won't be easy, that's for sure, since our first round opponents, the San Antonio Marshals, are arguably the only non-boosted-bots team that caused us any trouble this season. We both won two games against each other, and all four were very close.

As far as I'm concerned, I had a kind of weird rookie season. My stats weren't game changing but I managed to tie the DSFL record for most touchdowns in a season, even if I had to share my playtime with Andreas Metaxas. I'd lie if I said it wasn't frustrating to know I would have crushed that record if I had more time on the field but I keep thinking there's always next season. Now all I can hope is that I get a chance in the playoffs since I proved I have great work ethic and that I'm one of the most hardworking people in the League. I was benched last off season, and I expect to start this year.
