Coming into the season we all knew we had a long road ahead of us. Arizona had just finished S8 as the 7th best team and knew they still had some rebuilding to do. They grabbed me, Kevin Fitzpatrick, and LaMarcus Strike in the first 2 rounds of the draft so we know that, in addition to fellow youngsters Crindy and Squanch, our future is looking bright. However, coming into the season we still weren't expecting much. The year started better than expected as we lost a close one to the Yeti but then managed to sneak out an OT wing against the defending champion Wraiths. Unfortunately, we would get crushed by the rest of the leagues top dogs, even losing both games to the Liberty, a team everyone thought would be struggling to get even 1 win total. As a whole, it was slightly worse than expected, as we had hoped to possibly go home with at least 4 or 5, but ended up with just 3. On a personal note, I had next to no expectations for myself coming into the season. I thought I was in a bad middle ground where I was too good for the DSFL but not good enough for the big leagues. I ended up proving myself wrong, as I managed to rack up 73 tackles, 4 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 3 pass defenses primarily out of the strong safety role. I'm expecting to be in the DRotY conversation but I don't think it's an award that I'll be adding to my trophy case.
