Marc Spector loves hot dogs. It's like... an obsession. It's joked about all the time in the locker room how much he loves his wieners. He's always eating kielbasa, Italian sausage, Turkish sausage, ballparks, Hebrew Nationals, Nathans, Sahlens and various corn dogs... Well, when a representative from Wienerburger came to Orange County Mall to sell stock in his company, Spector, who was there signing autographs at the De-Lux Sporting Store, ate the product up. Literally and figuratively. See, a Wienerburger is a Hot dog, but in the shape of a hamburger. It's basically a hot dog in patty form. Mark thought it was the best idea he'd ever seen. Everyone always criticized him for not loving hamburgers as much as hot dogs. Now this was the best of both worlds. Marc bought 45% of the company and started marketing it to everyone he knew.
"So, it's basically a fat piece of bologna?"
"This is pretty gross."
"I'd much rather have a hamburger in the shape of a hot dog."
After about a month, Marc realized the world was not ready for Wienerburgers. He sold off his 45% stake in the company at a huge financial loss. He did keep a 10 year supply of the product in his freezer at home, though.
