The next big thing Deringer got involved in that was the SUREFIRE next big hit in the city of Austin: Bevo Burger. As soon as he got his first DSFL paycheck, some old college buddies rang him up and asked him to help them invest in a shop, set up and fund operations. With a burger shop that offered what they billed as a unique taste from 100% naturally grass-fed cows and ingredients with no artificial preservatives, chemicals or flavors, they would take advantage of the population conscious of such things. This would surely catch on!

They should have run the name by more people. "Bevo Burger" heavily implied cooking up and serving longhorn meat, a thought that did not sit well with the heart of Texas Longhorn nation. Although it opened to rave reviews, the specter of eating their mascot turned off the crowds, especially the college folk, which was a crucial blow with their setup right across from campus. Combining that with the costs to maintain a stock of all-natural ingredients, and the place busted within six months.
