Adriana is by far the richest person her family has ever known. This has caused many of her relatives whom she presumed dead to miraculously return to life. This was the case of her uncle Roberto, her mother's youngest brother.
The last time she saw him, she was around six. Roberto was the coolest. But he suddenly disappeared. The entire family just assumed he had been killed by the mafia. Turns out, it was half true. He had borrowed money from an important family, the Francos, to open a strip club in Assisi, a town that is well known for its religious history. When his club unsurprisingly failed and that he couldn't keep paying his mafia overlords, he was shot and presumed killed.
Anyway, he resurfaced some months ago and said he needed money to pay the Francos and be able to live a normal life again, without being afraid of being shot (again) and this time dying if the mafia found out he was still alive. Adriana gave him the money he asked for, and instead of actually using it to clear his debts, he reopened a strip club in Monte Sant'Angelo, a similar town with just a smaller population.
They found his body the night after the opening, with the signature Franco "F" carved in his cheek. So yeah, that didn't go as expected.
