At the beginning of the season, Jordan von Matt didn't expect to play much, if at all. He knew that the Kansas City Coyotes were an established team with a ton of talent. His main focus was to put in as much effort as possible during practice and scrimmages in hopes of getting recognized by the coaches. He's spent a ton of his free time in the weight room as well, focusing mainly on his speed and explosiveness. In a league where speed is one of the most important attributes a player can have, Jordan wanted to make sure it wouldn't hold him back.
So far this season, Jordan has caught 15 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown. While these numbers aren't anything special, he feels confident and ready to step into a much larger role next season. With Valentine potentially getting called up to the NSFL next season, Jordan would be in line for the WR2 spot, seeing considerably more snaps. According to a recent interview, Jordan's goals for next season's stat line would be 50 catches, 700 yards, and 6 touchdowns. Time will tell as to if that dream will become a reality. Until then, we wish Jordan the best in the DSFL playoffs.
