Playoff Series MVP: Choose an MVP for one of the playoff series and write about why you chose them. Must be completed after the playoff series you write about
When you team has been building up for season after season, the chance to truly make something happen really relies on Quarterback for any team looking for long term success. Borkus Maximus really made a point to step up in the biggest game of the post season for this young team. Going 24/43 with 344 yards and tossing out 4 touch downs? With a 112.9 rating? Yeah NOLA is here and ready to compete. The team had lots of stand out performances but Maximus's one was something to notice and be proud of.
Borkus had a noticeable favourite for passing that game giving the ball to everyone. Wait you said favourite? Yeah Borkus's favourite is anyone doning a NOLA jersey, so can you blame him for spreading the love? How do you cover a teams passing game when 4 receivers all have a touch down? Better yet, how do you try and cover the running game, when the Quarter back runs for almost 30 yards on his own during one play? I mean there is a diverse and really well built toolbox developing for Borkus and I think we have only seen the tip of the ice berg so far as the skys the limit for him.
Playoff Review: Write a short review of the playoffs and each of the matchups. Must be completed after the Championship Game
Yetis lose 40-34 Hawks wins
- In what ended up being a closely contested games, many were thinking heading into this match up that the Hawks should have a semi easy time on their hands. What happened probably made a a few hawks fans drink more than they intended this day. The Yeti's came out to a torrnet start with a 14-7 first quarter, to have the tables be reversed in the 2nd. The 3rd quarter repeated the 2nd giving the hawks the point edge by 7, and that's all they needed from there on out as the 4th quarter saw each team only put up single digits for points leaving the Yeti unable to cover the gap.
Otters lose 21-39 NOLA wins
- What many expected to be a win by New Orleans, most likely didnt expect a gap in the score like the final gave us. NOLA took command early and never looked back. Putting up 16 points before the Otters answered. After that it was a 1 for 1 for the next few drives until NOLA finally decided it was time to put the nail in the coffin and ran ahead of them by 20+ points. Borkmans passing game could not be stopped as the Second line finished this one up nicely.
NOLA takes it 37 -24 over the Hawks
- What started off really well for the Hawks at the end of one quarter quickly turned on it's head by the time the 2nd was done as the Second line took the lead. The half time seemed to be a big boon for the Hawks though as what ever was said in that dressing room seemed to spark the team as they put up 10 points and holding the Second line off the board, if they could keep this up, they were looking like potential champs. Unfortunately the 1st place Second line wasn't about to be stopped as they went on a route putting up 18 points and completely shutting down the Hawks offense, it was a clinic and a much deserved title for them.
Ultimas MVP
Borkus Maximus - QB
Are you about to NOT give the MVP to one of the Quarterbacks in a title game for football? For shame. Despite many arguments people can make about who should be the MVP for the big show, it has to be New Orleans quarterback. Passing for almost 400 yards with an AVG of 13.8, 2 touch downs, and a rating just shy of 120, how can you not toss him the honours? Having close relations with the owner, Maximus has been the staple for the team for seasons, and has stuck it out through the thick and thin until they built something that could make it to this point. Now that they are here, he delivered and deserves the honour more than any other.
His trip to disney was pretty simple, but made the most sense considering his options. He started off at Universal studios for the real wow factor to get his movie love and excitement levels going. Hit up the Magic Kingdom for full on nostalgia. Then finished it all off with a trip to sea world so he could cool off and see all the cool animals and really soak it all in. Being a closet Star wars fan, seeing all of the shows and attractions being built was something only a young Borkus could dream of, so it was a truly sureal experience for him as well.
