Robbed: Write about why a team that failed to make the playoffs should have over somebody else. Can be completed at any point
The Yellowknife Wraiths not making the playoffs is an absolute sham. The Wraiths have the best corner back in the league in Dermot Lavelle and one of the top line backer groups in the league as well. The entire season ended up coming down to just one game where the Colorado Yeti got lucky enough to win. It was a total fluke, especially win you consider that the Yeti's offense is basically run by their kicker who has to put up all the points for them since their quarterback can never get their running backs or wide receivers into the end zone himself. The Yeti will be out of the playoffs by half time of the first game they play in and we'll all be laughing at how much of a joke this season ended up being because they made it instead of the Yellowknife Wraiths. Next season when the Wraiths get some more offensive weapons in the draft they'll be right back where they belong. In the playoffs. The quarterback for the Wratihs, Mats Akeleson is too good to be kept off the field so early in the season, he'll drag the team into the post season next year if he has to.
Playoff Series MVP: Choose an MVP for one of the playoff series and write about why you chose them. Must be completed after the playoff series you write about
It's a bit of a cop out to choose the quarterback as the MVP of a series, but the truth is that other than the New Orleans Second Line's defensive end Fuego Wozy there really wasn't much competition for the MVP of the Ultimus: the New Orleans Second Line quarter back, Borkus Maximus III! Any time a quarter back is rated over 100 for a game you know it was a good one, but overall he was rated 119.6 so it was obviously a great game for him. The Second Line didn't put their backup quarter back in the game for a single down, he was absolutely on fire. Maximus III completed 71% of the passes he attempted (27/38) for an average of 13.8 yards and a total of 372 passing yards. He ended the game having thrown two touchdowns and not a single interception. Averaging a first down per completed pass is awesome and not throwing a single interception is great. The tactic of going for short passes and getting to the end zone slowly but surely seemed to workout real well for him and the Second Line. Maximus III is by far the most deserving player of the Ultimus MVP award.
That Magic Moment: Pick one moment from a playoff game and describe what made it so amazing to watch. (Must be completed after the game you write about)
There's a moment in every great game where everyone is watching and something incredible happens. An interception is caught, a huge sack is made, a touchdown is scored. Something huge. Going into the 4th quarter the Second Line were down by 5 points. The team was in desperate need of some magic. Starting on the 40 yard line Borkus Maximus III calls a pass play and completes the throw to DiMirio for 9 yards. Rove from the Hawks tackles DiMirio, doing everything he can to preserve the lead. Maximus III calls another passing play and you can feel it in the air. Hawks fans are anxious, Second Line fans are hopeful and everyone is watching the game. The ball is snapped and Evans take off, running faster than he has all game. He's taken off much faster than the covering man thought he would and is alone in the outfield. Almost like you would in a schoolyard he's yelling, screaming, begging and waving his arms as he runs toward the end zone. Maximus III throws him the ball and says a prayer to himself as it's in the air. Evans catches it at the 5 yard line and the stadium erupts with excitement. He's taken down at the 1 yard line where a running back brings it home and the Second Line are back on top.
