Sit-down with a star - Fitzpatrick
1. This was the first season for you in the big leagues, how would you describe it?
Definitely nerve-wracking. By the end of my DSFL time, I knew I was better than a lot of the league. Going into a league where I was the weak link on my team the whole season, I was constantly dreading mistakes, and there were a lot of them to dread.
2. Which song has been your pump-up, motivation or energy song this season?
Easy. "X Gon Give it to Ya Maybe," great mash-up.
3. Any of the team members that you owe a "thank you" for the help they have given you?
Would have to say Reg Mackworthy. So many first downs he got without any help, and a lot of the passing I was able to do was because defenses were focused on him, because he was setting a league record for rushing. Also Crindy for some top notch blocking. He didn't allow any sacks, which was a big deal those first few games.
4. Now when you are in Major league, while Showbiz is still in Minor league, do you still see him as your main rival?
Hard to say. Because I did so well I was basically even with Pennington, who was a season above me. When Showbiz takes over, I think that rivalry will return, but I don’t think the comparisons to Pennington will go away. I mean, Showbiz is closer to me in experience, but Pennington is closer to me in offensive weapons. We’ll be three QBs in very overlapping situations, and I think all 3 will be compared.
