The Colorado Yeti are looking to make a run for the Ultimus title this year, and in doing so have executed a ton of trades to get aging vets into the locker room. One such league veteran is the former Second Line/Legion and Sabercat cornerback Terrell Brister. Brister is entering his final season in the league and has already announced that he will retire at the end of the year, but his experience and skillset are still useful for a struggling Yeti secondary full of draft busts. Bringing in Brister will bring much needed help for one of the best corners in the game, Andre Bly.
The greatest irony in the Terrell Brister trade, however, is the fact that Brister has long been an outspoken critic of the Colorado Yeti. Through the Greatest Losing Streak of All Time™, Brister poked fun at the team as his Second Line made much quicker improvements and made the playoffs a year earlier despite starting in more dire circumstances. Even with this, the Yeti decided to bring him to Denver hoping that he would help bring them a championship. This also marks a huge shift in management styles from ousted GM MemeMaestro, who famously claimed that the Yeti did not want future MVP Darren Smallwood due to the outstanding criticism of the team. Will it pay off? Who knows
