So, I dont remember any past trades that happened on the deadline really besides one, so i'm gonna talk about the one that just happened, because 2 days ago is technically the past.
So, the Otters traded Carlito Crush to the New Orleans Second Line for a second rounder in S12, and also trade a S11 4th rounder to the Philadelphia Liberty for Josh Garden.
This seems to be the Otters saying they're done competing for this season, but also seems to be a weird push to still be relevant. In my opinion, this makes them worse in all facets. Obviously going from Crush to Garden is a downgrade right now and in the future at wide receiver, but also i think they got the bad end of this deal pick wise as well. With the S11 draft being the deepest one since maybe even S2, I think there is a decent chance that the S11 4th they traded away becomes better than the S12 2nd they received. Either way, I dont think it is a good enough pick swap for them to downgrade from active Crush to inactive Garden
With New Orleans, I think this makes them even better. The Ultimus is now going to be a lot more interesting. And with Philly, this is another good job of moving players for assets. I think in the end though, the biggest effect will be felt by Orange County
