This year had a couple good deals go down. We seen the Liberty send out Josh Garden to the Orange County Otters further strengthening their core and helping their run towards the Ultimus Trophy this season. While Garden may not be hitting the gym anymore, he still is a solid depth piece for any championship caliber team. Hoping to get a chance towards wining an Ultimus, he is hoping that the Otters give him his best chance at winning and it's going to be tough this season. The Liberty received an S11 fourth round pick in the deal along with retaining Garden's salary for the season. The second deal saw Carlito Crush be sent out to the New Orleans Second Line for New Orleans S12 second round pick while retaining his salary. Carlito is being put in the same situation as Garden in which he is being sent to a championship caliber team in hopes of winning an Ultimus. Both of these teams will end up meeting in the conference championship game to decide who will be representing the AFSC in the big game. It's going to be interesting to see which of these two players will have the bigger impact for their team in their runs to the Ultimus Trophy.
