Mat Akselsen faced off against his former team and had an excellent performance as the San Jose Sabercats stunned the Yellowknife Wraiths in week 11. Akselsen threw for 4 touchdowns as the team won, with 3 of them going to Kazimir Oles, and the final one going to Xavier Flash. The old veteran connected with the young talent the team has stocked up on many times, and they were able to score 42 points in total as Akselsen commanded the offense effortlessly against his former team. Before being traded in his retirement season, Akselsen was a mainstay of the Wraiths offense throughout his time there, first as an offensive lineman and then when he made the switch to be the team's quarterback after Chris Orosz went to the Sabercats. Akselsen was able to lead the Wraiths to an Ultimus victory during his time in Yellowknife, and had multiple fantastic seasons as the league's premier mobile quarterback. The mobile QB has been considered to be the bar for all future mobile QBs, after he's had multiple fantastic seasons as a dynamic playmaker not only throwing the ball to his WRs but also running the ball and opening up holes in the defense. He was able to shred defenses in any way possible, and that's what made him a legend, both in Yellowknife and in the NSFL. (225 words)
