Written: Must include 200 words. As the end of the season nears we see some interesting matchups between players who have been key contributors playing their old team one last time. Write about one of these matchups and how it went, was there a pregame celebration, did the player perform well against their former team, write about anything that happened.
Week 13 is a bittersweet moment for Yellowknife Wraiths Hall of Fame Linebacker Boss Tweed. Tweed returns to his old stomping grounds in Denver to face off against his former home, the Colorado Yeti. Tweed spent the lions share of his career on the Yeti , albeit it at his familiar running back position behind the now incumbent Logan Noble. Tweed shortly switched to linebacker to aid the developing Yellowknife Wraiths defensive front 7.
Unfortunately for Tweed and fortunately for Colorado fans, the Yeti went on to finish the game 34-27 in a tightly contested affair. Tweed unfortunately had an overall poor game out there, racking up just 2 tackles and 2 pass deflections, not exactly the send off that Yeti fans hoped to see (although they did want to see it for their sakes.)
There was no pregame celebration of any sorts for the Yellowknife faithful because they knew that they had blown it, the staff, the players and all of the fans. However as everybody was exiting the field and heading to the locker rooms, sources have claimed to have spotted former Colorado Yeti RB, Boss Tweed heading into the Yeti LR. No online footage has surfaced of exactly what happened when he entered his old locker room.
Just exactly what was said looks like it will remain a secret between the Colorado Yeti franchise and ring of honor member Boss Tweed.
