(S11) - PT 1 - Training Camp High jinx

As a rite of initiation they were not filled in on, newly-drafted rookies Danny Methane and Jerrod Canton were subjected to one simple prank. They were led to a cage containing their home jerseys and a sleeping puma. All they had to do was go into the cage and figure them out a way to snag their shirts, escape and close the cage without stirring the puma. We swore we had tranquilizers at the ready and handlers on standby in the event the puma woke up. Though reluctant, they agreed. We had them sign waivers and everything to make it look official and in writing.

Next was the "feat" itself. We filmed them looking absolutely terrified as they tiptoed around it. They at least mustered whatever lessons they had on surviving an encounter with a sleeping beast that could kill them if it woke up. It was an impressive performance. Then, on the return leg, four of us grabbed the cage and shook it. I think at least one of them crapped himself, they were so terrified. The ruse was revealed when the puma didn't wake up or move any more than the cage moved it. It was stuffed and rigged to make it look like it was asleep and breathing.
