Nothing says breaking out more than making an immediate impact as soon as you touch the field. That’s what I expect from future star wide receiver Rylant Wright, who just today threw his hat into the ring...err...the DSFL and will be signed very shortly. The 6’3”, 210 pound kid from Syracuse, NY was a star at his hometown Syracuse University. He led the Orange to a 10-2 season and earned them a bowl appearance, something which is few and far between for the more basketball-centric school.
Wright looks to build upon his stellar NCAA career as he takes his talents to the DSFL. Where will he sign? I do not know right now, but he will be looking for a team that’s set to allow him to showcase his skills to build up draft stock for the real meat and potatoes here - the NSFL draft.
Since he has yet to play in a single game in either league, putting up any stat would be an improvement over all empty categories, but i expect Rylant Wright to do much more than that, and actually break out. He has the speed, the hands and the intelligence to be an immediate X-factor on whichever team he ends up with. Wherever he goes, opponents should know he’s bringing the “Wright stuff” with him, and should game plan accordingly.
