It would be easy to say myself but like any young QB, you need to rely on your teammates and make sure you are developing nicely. I could say Oles or Flash but I think as I develop, those guys will become more and more prominent, more likely next season than this season, depending on the week. One thing as a young quarterback is having a ground game to rely upon on and with that, Jerrod Canton is my pick as the next breakout player. He is a rookie but will be relied upon early in his career as a primary back and with a rookie QB under center, he will have plenty of opportunities to shine in a more balanced offense. This team is growing steadily and the offense has plenty of talent. Time will tell on how the team will grow but one thing is certain, Canton is going to be a huge factor in the offense, both in the running game and in the passing game as seen in the last 2 weeks of the preseason where he caught some touchdowns. I believe in the end, he will win rookie of the year or come close to that level of production along with Joliet L. Christ to ensure the rookie of the year comes out of San Jose.
