Summer went, Dugnutt was gone who was followed by Parker, hell Foster even popped up midway through the 3rd round.. but in the 4th round Yellowknife took a punt on an unknown entity who resides from Belgium... not exactly a pipeline for the National Simulation Football League. But to many it wasn't the player himself that grabbed headlines but rather the agent reflecting him. That same agent represented former Yellowknife Wraiths defensive lineman Gustav Rodriguez... a player many of us couldn't remember playing in the league. This same agent has had a number of incidents regarding his contracts in a hockey league, both at a player and GM level.
Thomas Carrasco has had his number of critics and he still does. Heck not too long ago a podcast on the NSFL even took shots at him, questioning YKW GM Spike Crown's decision to start 28th overall pick Carrasco over 4th overall pick Antonio Summer.
But is Carrasco the sort of player to give a fuck ? Of course not he's going to be a franchise guy inside and outside of the locker room and rush for many many many yards and just as many touchdowns. As I enter the tail end of my career having spent 11 seasons and counting here, I hope Carrasco does the same and really makes this player one worth remembering because we have full faith in him. As for samee the user, I hope this league is something he can actively enjoy more than his past goes.
