Imagine even trying to predict the breakout player. Well, I'll try. Ryan Applehort, that's who. I mean, this won't be the most obvious choice knowing that we probably have more relevant candidates. And he had a good last season in Colorado. But we knew he has a room for improvement when he joined Baltimore. And that's exactly what is happening. Last season, he had a 36/14 TD:INT with average 86.6 rating. Looks nice, but he's about to do even better in this season. Currently, he has a 9/1 TD:INT and he's the only QB with the average rating being more than 100 (101.9). His longest pass this season was 44 yard long and while it isn't spectacular, but who even cares about that stat anyways. So yeah, Applehort is my choice. It would be a surprise if he won't post better stats than last season. After all, he's playing for a stacked Baltimore team which is definitely better than last season's Colorado. Which is more impressive, is that he's a S7 player so he didn't even hit his peak yet. Soon he will never become the breakout player of the year...simply because he will be at the top until he takes a regression.
