It looks like there is going to be another Tuck in the National Simulation Football League. Depending on who you are, that probably resulted in a very different reaction for you. For those that are now holding their breath in fear, anger, or whatever else, I am sorry. I am not so naïve that I think the past will be the past, but I also do not intend on focusing my time here on it either. I honestly did not expect to find myself back here this soon, but apparently I am a sucker for peer pressure and bad at making wagers. Now that I have attempted to clear the air, and reading what I have written failed miserably, I will move it along.
Since Jorel Tuck is going to be robbed of the opportunity to be drafted in the DSFL it is time to get some hype going for the National Simulation Football League draft that is apparently not too far off.
So first things first, are you really back? Are you going to return to your previous levels of activity?
I am really back. It looks like I will be seeing the entirety of another Tuck career through the league. In terms of activity, obviously I am not going to return to the full level of activity I once had in this league, because that would get me banned! However, I intend to be a maximum TPE earner at least until I hit regression. The Tuck’s have a long legacy of whoring TPE in this league as well as in the SHL and that is a practice that Jorel intends to maintain. I considered postponing the creation of Jorel until season 13 to maximize my TPE relative to my draft class, but I did not want to screw over teams that spent waiver priority to claim me and I am still confident Jorel Tuck will be one of the top tight ends and offensive weapons of this draft class.
So, TLDR: I am back…just at the level of a normal TPE addict.
Are you going to stick with one team forever?
I do not know. Most Tuck’s have stuck with the team that have drafted them for as long as possible and it is more than likely that is what ends up happening for Jorel’s career. I have considered the prospect of chasing some money at some point in his career, though from my past experience dealing with free agency it is not exactly something I enjoy doing. I will stick with the team that drafted me for three seasons on a reasonable contract barring some insanity.
Why did you create a tight end? Are you willing to play elsewhere?
Somebody told me to create a tight end, so I did. In terms of utilizing my player as a tight end, I would be more than happy to play anywhere I can be used to help the team. In terms of changing positions, I would be open to it, but I would like to hear out what different teams had in mind prior to make any changes. I am not going to make the commitment to position change without first speaking to a team.
Before I get to the point where I rank teams and say nice things about them, I am open to giving anywhere a fair shot. But some sort of conversation prior to the draft would be much appreciated.
Tier 5: Not no
Arizona Outlaws
Jorel knows the Outlaws history well. There are some solid guys on the roster that he knows well, but the Tuck’s family history with the Outlaws organization is what puts them this low. There is some, been there, done that, aspect to his time on the team that would make a return feel wrong. The rollercoaster is over and in an ideal world Jorel would not get on it for another ride.
Tier 4: If you say so
Baltimore Hawks
The Hawks are currently one of the best teams in the league and it looks like they will be in that position for some time going forward. However, their team already has two of the league’s top tight ends so Jorel would be hard pressed to find a spot on the roster without a position swap. There is also the potential for some, interesting locker room scenarios that may just rock the boat more than the team’s leadership would like. But I do not know for sure.
Orange County Otters
The Otters have had a special place as a rival to the Tuck family for most of the league’s history. However, they have also always been a successful, well run organization. Paq (that’s your name just accept it) is great and one of the top general managers in the league for my money. The roster is also stacked full of people I enjoy and I would love to be involved in an offense that included TDZ, Molarpistols, and Jiggly. However, I think there is something less exciting about playing for a perennial contender than the underdog. Furthermore, if there is potential for locker room discord in Baltimore, I think it may be even more likely here and it may be better for the Otters to keep OC Tuck free.
Tier 3: Ok
Colorado Yeti
I am looking through the Yeti roster and recognize a few names I do not really know anyone. Maybe that is a good thing, maybe a bad. But I am willing to give it a shot. The Yeti are also another team that I would be happy to see turn it around and win a title. If that was something I could be a part of it just makes the team more appealing
Tier 2: Yes
Yellowknife Wraiths
The Wraiths are probably my outright #2 choice. I have always gotten along with Bzerkap and would be happy to be a member of his locker room again. Throw in Dermot, Cal, zstevens, and Wally and you have a great locker room that I would be happy to be a part of. The Wraiths have a solid tight end on the roster and I do not know anything about their quarterback, but it looks like they could use some offensive weapons.
New Orleans Second Line
Bovo is a saint. If this involved me and Bovo being in a private discord with just the two of us, the Second Line would still be ranked exactly the same. There are others on the team that are all great people, but this ranking is purely Bovo based. It is not logical.
Philadelphia Liberty
Alright, this has to be the first surprise on the list right? The Tuck family has had some interesting times with the Liberty, but there is no ill will carried on Jorel Tuck’s end of that relationship. The Liberty may be in need of a tight end sooner rather than later and Jorel may just be able to be that guy.
Tier 1: Yes!
San Jose Sabercats
The Sabercats are my first choice. I have a lot of good friends on this roster and I would be quite satisfied to be on the NSFL Edmonton Blizzards. The Sabercats do not necessarily have a glaring need at tight end and they may need to spend the draft stock they have to fill other positions. Obviously the Sabercats have not had the success of some other teams in the league, but at this point I value the locker room environment more than championships anyways. Plus, I would be happy to be along for the ride of a team fighting its way out of the basement and winning its first championship.
I am going to need to earn cash, so feel free to ask questions and maybe I will circle back and answer them.
