The most surprising outcome would have to be when the Philadelphia Liberty won the Ultimus Championship in week 6. That would be the only logical reasoning behind they excessive celebration after a victory. I am not sure why the site banner hasn’t been changed at this point. That’s the only explanation I can come up with unless the Liberty are the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NSFL. You put so much emphasis on a single game that the rest of the season doesn’t matter and can just be discarded.
This reminds me of another surprise outcome that involved the Baltimore Hawks. This one occurred all the way back in week 10 of S4 when the Hawks traveled to Colorado to face the winless Yeti. A little foreshadowing, their streak was about to end. In a very subpar performance, Nicholas Pierno led his team to a 20-12 victory preventing a winless season and dashing the playoff hopes of the Hawks simultaneously.
Looking back, maybe Baltimore just has a knack for losing seemingly important midseason games to shitty divisional teams. One thing is for certain, they are headed to the playoffs in what is sure to be another disappointing finish to what was once a hopeful season.
